Thanks brother for the info shared. What do you advise for someone seeking the jobseeker's visa? Master's level qualification already with experience. Field: Medical/Nuclear Physics. Won't mind other physics areas. Degree certificates already certifified by Zentralstelle für ausländisches Bildungswesen. Should I seek work through the industry, research institute or university?

My immediate response would be to seek opportunities via all three options 😁 Now, to break it down, based on the ease of securing a (job) placement, research institute would come first, but as always, each of them has their pros and cons. In addition, you current location would also influence which option to prioritize; industry might take longer since the employer may have to justify why they are hiring an expatriate; this wouldn’t be the case in a research institution, since you’d most likely be taken in as a PhD candidate. Does one have to get an application form from Postdam before applying in the Uni-assist portal? They request an application form upload on the documents page of Uni-assist, but there seems not to be a place to download that on the Postdam admissions and enrollment page(s). Please can you clarify this? Thank you.

If uni-assist requests for an application form from University of Potsdam, then for sure it’d be provided by Uni Potsdam. Two things that I suspect; 1. The application period hasn’t started yet, and if so, the application document may not be available. 2. The application document may be located in the download section of the University’s website. It might take some effort to locate it. In any case, you should check of the application for that study program has started, and also check if there is a Download sections where forms are made available for download. I hope this helps.

The acceptance rate is moderate, but the main determining factor is your current grades. If you did your Bachelor’s degree from Germany, then you won’t be applying as an international student; it’s different for you. If you need help with the process, you can email us. Hello Afi, Sure you can work. You student visa comes with a work permit that allows you to work 20 hours per week, and earn up to €450 without tax. On holidays, like school breaks, you can work and earn more than €450 without tax.
