Greetings from England. Lovely mares & foals. However, ghastly showing area: cramped and cluttered. The second handler kicked the foal in the face, and other handlers showed a similar impulse to lash out. In top of this, the two ‘whippers-in’ too often resembled ‘control-freaks. None of the foals were going to come away having had a ‘fun’ day out. Quite distressing to witness.

The point of the people with whips is to control where the foals go and how they move. They are in fact there to control the foals. And for those without any experience with foals or such events, it is best to not make comments about things one knows nothing about. The handlers are doing their jobs and staying safe. Foals are dangerous, large and flighty creatures.
