5:16 love your content Harz - keep it up 💪 I was following Giacomo throughout the development of the Kavenz frame, but at the time thought 160 was more travel than I needed so ultimately went with the deviate highlander. What are your impressions in terms of how the two compare? Weight/geo/idler drag/harshness in the rear/stability vs agility/climbing/overall responsiveness? Thanks for your insights, being in the US and having ordered at vhp 14 recently with intend front and back it’s hard to get a demo or hands on info about these products, so I’m stoked that you’re doing this summer tour at all the German MTB makers. Really great to get a behind the scenes look at how they operate and who they are. The passion they put into their products is inspiring.

Quite frankly, I can't say how these two bikes compare as it has been a long time (and different bikes) that I have ridden the Highlander. I rode the Claymore though and it was pretty responsive for a bike with these stats. The Kavenz is heavier I guess, being a not so light aluminium frame. It's the more versatile though. If you bought the V14, you can make it to a V16 with only taking the spacers out of your Hover shock. It's ingenious. I may end up buying a VHP14/16 myself soon as I'm in a very long warranty process with Transition. You will love your VHP14. It's such a cool bike and knowing Giacomo in person only makes me buy this bike even more. :)

@@harzenduro Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The ability to switch from 14 to 16 is definitely one of the reasons I pulled the trigger like having a highlander and claymore in one ;) Can't wait to see the Intend content (aswell as RAAW and Acto5 :p)!

I am so going to enjoy those trips. Intend is going to be superb and I'm probably going to get a VHP14/16 with full Intend. I don't know yet.

Muss sagen in dem Cerokate Schwarz gefällt mir das Bike richtig gut. Bin schon länger am überlegen mir den Rahmen zu holen. Wie ist denn die Überstandhöhe bei Größe M ?, brauche zwar S aber da ist ja kein großer Unterschied.

Überstandshöhe? Kann ich nicht sagen. Bei 180/86SL hat mir die M gut gepasst. L würde aber auch gehen.

Konnte ich leider nicht fahren, weil ich die Probleme mit der Kassette hatte und voll aus dem Rhythmus war. Ist aber nicht schlimm. Bin bald wieder in der Region. :D
