I was in Munich, and my wife and her sister all of a sudden decided they wanted to go to Zurich, Switzerland. So the night before we left, I bought tickets on the train, direct from Munich to Zurich on Bahn.com.
We arrived at the Munich Central train station, which is a very nice and spacious station, and our first mission was to buy some train food. I ended up with a wonderful pretzel and a Bavarian sandwich. The sandwiches were pretty amazing.
Sandwiches and coffee - 12.50 EUR
It was a great ride, and as we kept going the views and mountains kept getting more and more beautiful.
For the train we were 3 adults and I paid about 400 EUR for round-trip ticket from Munich to Zurich.
Train is always one of the best ways to travel!

German here ✌️ Nice video but this wasn't the German fast lane train. The German fast lane train is ICE also called Inter City Express. It also has a restaurant on board 😊

I often wonder if Ying and Mark met before or after he started traveling so much. Yings Mother must be so very pleased and proud of their success in this travel adventure. And it makes you wonder if Ying ever dreamed she would get to travel and visit so many astonishing places. What an amazing life for such a beautiful family.

I think train trips always bring true excitement and happiness. The classic part of taking train is bring favorite foods on board. Like having bento and snacks in Japanese trains. Trains are part of human history. Enjoying foods and seeing moving scenes thru windows are wonderful moment. Funny part was Mark sneaking out the pretzel while everyone was sleeping. haha. I liked that flaky bread sandwich. Thanks Mark.

yep it's pretty common. around Frankfurt you can have a bretzel with butter and chives for just € 1,20 or so - simple, cheap, tasty snack or breakfast.

I loved watching this because I used to live in Germany, 50+ years ago and last September went there for the first time since. We stayed in a hotel a few seconds from Dieser Bahnhof and as the food in the hotel was not good myself and another person would got to the station to get some decent food. I introduced my new friend to lovely German food especially" Die Krapfen" oh boy did we enjoy those.

You are right: inside the Brezn, the herb inside was "Schnittlauch" = chives. Its quite a common herb to use in southern Germany and Austria. People also put in soups or on scrumbled eggs, fried eggs, or on a slice of bread with butter or cream cheese.

Chive plants also grow a gorgeous purple flower that enhances the green herb and vice versa. My mom mixed chives with cottage cheese and I ate it with rye bread as a snack.

Hi Mark I live in Zurich and I would like to show you some food spots in Zurich, which are rather traditional but also some that have a modern twist to it. You should definitely try Rösti, Zürcher Kalbsgeschnetzeltes and of course some sausages for instance the Cervelat, which is regarded as our national sausage. Besides that we have some great beers and a lot of nice little pastries! Hit me back! Greets Eden:)
