Gerry Granahan "An American Trilogy" Live - 1984

Singer-songwriter-producer Gerry Granahan (1932-2022) performs "An American Trilogy" with the DeSotos and the Living Dolls at a "Remembering Elvis Presley"-themed United Way Fundraiser in New Bedford, Massachusetts in August of 1984. Gerry earned three gold records in a span of a year-and-a-half under three different names during the early rock'n'roll era, "No Chemise Please" (under his own name), "You Were Mine" (with Ritchie Adams as the Fireflies), and "Click Clack" (as Dicky Doo and the Dont's). Granahan also owned the Caprice label, produced hits for the Angels, James Ray, Patty Duke, Janie Grant, Ray Pollard, Lyn Roman, and Jay & the Americans. During the 1950s, he recorded a multitude of songwriter's demos including several which were subsequently recorded by Elvis Presley. Gerry visited Elvis at his Bel Air, California home in the 1960s.
