I remember that awful day as a young teenager. Couldn't believe what we were seeing on the TV. Its a sad day that we lose the great Gerry Marsden & of course it makes me recall that terrible day! @@lauramacgillefhinnein5106 I was quite young, but still vaguely remember it happening. I'm glad that the truth of the matter finally got out. Regarding the S*n there's very few shops in this city that sell that rag! It's amazing how many people still believe that what they printed actually happened, even though the footage is on KZbin for anyone to watch. They knew all along that there was no credibility in what they printed and it was only when they were forced to admit it during the enquiry that they backed down and made the front page apology. This is why the city will never forgive them. They had ample opportunity through the years to do the honourable thing, and they chose not to. The personnel might have moved on, but what they represent still lives on strong within the publication. It will forever be hated in this City! Glad to hear that it's not just us here that are boycotting it! Take care, greetings from Liverpool :)

RIP Gerry. What a sad loss. I've been listening to his music a lot lately.

Gerry was the first British act to have a #1 hit with his first three singles, 'You'll Never Walk Alone' being one of them! He will forever be immortalised in this timeless song! If any man deserved the title of Liverpool's most beloved son, it was Gerry Marsden.

They say football is a game of 2 halves. Not for me it isn't. I regularly down eight or nine pints whilst watching a live game on Sky TV in my local.

When you walk Through a storm Hold you head up high And don't be afraid of the dark At the end of a storm There's a golden sky And the sweet silver song of the lark Walk on Through the wind Walk on Through the rain Though you dreams be tossed and blown Walk on Walk on With hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll Never Walk Alone Come on you reds 🔴

We sang this song in my high school choir at Laura Secord Secondary School in St. Catharines. It sent me shivers then and now. The most beautiful song of all time ( noting to do with football) . Love the meaning behind this song

Tottenham fan here. Even though I can’t stand Liverpool, I respect them because of how well they sing this song and their tradition of singing it at every game, win lose or draw. Respect ✊
