Puts Gallaghers stuff in the mediocre genre - lyrics and music ✌🏼 I wisnae always a fan lol, thought he wanted to be Dylan and always said he would not do a 3rd album of any substance. I think there's prolly a bit a jealousy in there - well dunno if that's the right word. I was always recording solo music in ma bedroom (in another massive scheme) after the band I was in were amateur and childish - and my brother was a great guitar player, but the ego.. I put it on an old 4 track. Main instrument was piano (keys/had an old organ)learnt myself in college and was gettin good on the banjo lol. Always got by on bass n guitar but harmonica tae! I always remember sayin to a guy I jammed with (2004 - 2010ish) that the lyrics should be sung in our glesga tongue! He wisnae a fan. But I bet he listens tae gerry 😂 So no jealousy, I wish him aw the best!! I just wish I'd kept at it, it really became ma drug of choice. Could never sing mind you!

If Gerry got the airtime, he deserves he would be massive in USA Canada Australia etc but the man himself is just the guy you sat next to at school or lived in any housing scheme (housing estate, project) in any part of Glasgow or the rest of Scotland. He's happy what he's doing and that's a big big appeal because he writes and sings about his own life's experiences that a lot of others went and still do go through.
