Gershwin is the composer between classical and jazz. His compositions are great, and Traum's playing, as always, is amazing.
@joost5054 жыл бұрын
I see a lot of people talk about not knowing George Gershwin. If you don’t listen to jazz it’s not that weird but if you do listen to jazz you must have heard of him. He is quite possibly the biggest jazz composer of all time. Like half of all jazz standards are his creations. He also played a big role in tja accepting of black culture because he was white and a jazz musician.

Just asking, why do people like Traum so much? I don’t even know his/her personality or voice. This is not his music. I guess the brand is the colored notes, but it’s not unique and it’s hard to tell which notes are being hit. Do you like him because of the interpretation then or the classical music content?
@fatherindia48104 жыл бұрын
@@lucasm4299 He is the most virtuosic and talented (in my humble opinion) of all the "classical YT pianists" (Rousseau, Kassia, Flaming Piano etc.) and he uploads multiple times a week, unlike other channels. And it won't just be pieces like "Ah yes, very pretty. Cute and not necessarily 'difficult' but its nice," no, Traum will upload Liszt B minor Sonata one day then a Transcendental etude the next, finally topped off with some other monumental piece like its nothing. He uploaded all the Paganini/Liszt etudes for 10k and all the Chopin Op. 10 (I think, it could've been Op. 25) etudes in one video like it was nothing. Traum just casually redefines what it means to be a "classical YT pianist" and is just a fucking madlad sry if that was a little bit aggressive/toxic, i just think he press piano very good lol
@lucasm42994 жыл бұрын
Rahul Vedantham I usually think of Valentina Lisitsa, Horowitz, Barenboim, Lugansky, Kissin, Lang Lang, Yundi Li, etc as classics music pianists. So it’s weird for me seeing people in love with Traum’s work since it’s not a “performance” nor do we get to engage with him unlike piano teachers such as Paul and Josh Wright.
