OMG! Gurtie! I just discovered your videos a few weeks ago and absolutely love them! I just saw that this one was made in 2014. I sure hope you're still making videos because I would be very sad if you're not.

Ok so I am one of those who would never ever dye my hair some wires color. But you just look amazing in it! I saw the videos with your darker hair and I really love the color hair on you. 😁 Wish I could look that great in blue or purple hair.

Well, I'll never make it to the exhibit, but it's an enjoyable review nonetheless. :-) Just a note, when I watch it with headphones, the sound for the speaking part (i.e. most of the video) comes only to my left headphone...

THank you for this episode. Isn't it true that charles James didn't have a very long career?

In a way--he got his start in the late 30s, was very active in the 40s and 50s and then kind of faded into obscurity, though he kept working until his death in '78. There's a really great article in the special edition of Vogue written by his former assistant about those later years. He lived rent-free in squalor in the Chelsea Hotel. It seems like he had lots of petty rivalries and money issues that contributed to him dying penniless. It's kind of a sad story!

I enjoyed this show, especially when you showed the gowns you were discussing. On the downside, your nervous laughter interferes with the flow of the presentation. I'm sorry to offer negative feedback but you may find it helpful.
