Every time I see this I keep thinking, feet moving, hands moving, brain burning, eye's looking at some notes, telling Jan what to do and make sure he hits the right buttons. and giving that organ a workout I'm sure after this song it will need a tune up. What a wonderful organist for sure, Wish I could fly in from the USA just to see and hear you play in person. Again Gert you made my day. BE happy.

This. Gert you just rip through this, def ultimate pirates version territory here. I bet the entire crowd left immediately to commandeer a vessel of some sort. Also, this organ is extremely well voiced for this piece, and the pacing is perfect for the venue.

I first saw this video several years ago, and have since tried listening to other players and versions, but I always come back here. Gert is by far the best organist that I've found, and this is my favorite performance of his. Just today, for the first time, I watched the first Pirates movie, and that brought me back here to see and hear this outstanding performance. I hope Gert gets to Texas, hopefully Houston, as I'd dearly love to attend one of his concerts. Long live Gert!!

Rollicking fun, and some of the best organ playing I’ve heard. Edit: i’ve now listened to this 3 times. At 5:50 it gets absolutely transcendental. Astonishing sound.

@Robin Nyfelt It's an improvisation on themes by Hans Zimmer. I love the contrast between the passion of the young player here and the astonishment of his elderly listeners behind!

Bravo, Gert! Bravissimo! Gert is back. Thanks God! This is the Gert we knew, this is the Gert we loved: the king of the kings of the instruments, but the one that never looses his smile. I am tired and bored to listen performances of the same piece dozens times where people only value the same manner to play that they learned from their teachers who had learned from their older teachers, and so on... Gert has its OWN mood -and in my very modest opinion- he ALWAYS wins, It's a pleasure to have a breath of fresh air that Gert give us. Thank you very, very much, dear maestro! (And I wish you a very happy birthday)

Superb !!! What I like best about this talented artist is that in addition to his obvious technical skills and his matching his registrations appropriate to the instrument, his tempos are always appropriate to the piece, yet immaginative. That is what sets his performances apart from and far above so many of today's speed demon or music box performances . Classical, popular, film scores: for me, at least, he does them all wonderfully well . Many BRAVOs!!!I greet this artist on the threshold of a brilliant career !
