If you don't match up with the bot, don't immediately leave the trade. you can block the other trainer by pressing the right stick down so they don't pop up in trades again and matching with the bot would be easier. Just found you can also block players from the right side of the y-comm list by clicking r.

You are not the only person trying for the bots, there are probably hundreds trying since the GA is so busy right now so it will be difficult to find the bot. Give it a few days, the GA usually begins to quiet down which may help your luck better

For some reason I've always struggled to match with the bots whenever there's a SWSH giveaway. I keep blocking people and still there's always another player on the other side of the trade. I've never even seen one of Blaines' bots on these games, whereas on SV I rarely have any difficulties. Dunno if it's just bad luck or if I'm screwing up somehow

Okay guys, I tried it several times and I'm not being able to do it, could some one please help me? I can connect online (Im seeing the players around), and after I put the code (i tried all five of them like 3 times), it finds the bot, it shows me my box, but it least for like 3/4 seconds, and them it shows that the other guy "interrupted the trade", and shows de code ERROR 2-ALZAA-0016. Possible relevant info: The problmes is always that, every time I tried this consistently happens; Make game is in French and Im not in USA; I'm using the 7 days free trial to conect online. Are you sure that it is the bot that you've matched up wifh because the interuption message sounds like when a person blocks you and quits the trade. This is what other people are doing when they don't match up with the bot. As fir the error code I believe that one is communication issues so something may be wrong with your internet. I could be remembering the error code wrong though so best to Google it and see what it says.

@@xionmemoria the thing is that discord is not blind friendly. I’ve tried to do it but it doesn’t work with my screen reader program. And even if it worked I won’t be able to join the raids fast enough because it takes me a bit to do things with my switch using the accessibility features.

All the bots seem to be down, every link code is basically dead activity wise. I reset my online mode and then the entire game and still nothing but a single random person after many "no one found" messages. Wonder trade is working fine so its not my connection and the codes are right.

you're matching up with other players trying to find the bot, too. Don't forget, in SWSH you can block other players, this should help reduce the amount of people you run into when trying to connect to the bots. There's 2 ways to block in SWSH: 1. Press the left joystick while in a trade with someone and select "Yes" to block them. OR 2. Go to the "Ycomm" menu and search for their name in the stamps, when you find their name press R and select "yes" twice.

Yes, you have to enter the code every time. This is my first time trading in Sword and Shield as well. It’s incredibly annoying, unlike Scarlet and Violet where the code remains unless you delete it or turn the game off.

It’s normal, many people are doing this at the same time so it’s sort of unlikely to encounter the bot, I had no luck for this giveaway and haven’t encountered a single bot “If you don’t know the bot name, it’s Suarez”

I’ve blocked over 100 people trying to connect to one of the bots and I haven’t been able to pair with them ONCE!

The problem is you can only block 100 people period. So if you block 1 more person after 100, that first person you blocked falls off and you could connect to them again.
