@@jim6751 No complaints, good cornering grip and still a decent amount of tread left after about 35k km's . That includes a lot of spirited driving.Would buy again.

I am in a dilemma still? Looking to replace my Golf mk7 GTi's front tyres. (Back still ok) But not too keen on the Bridgestones that it came with, as I only got just over 9k miles from them... and I'm no longer a 'wild boy! It's a toss-up between Michelin P4s, Contis, or Falkans... which seem remarkably good value. Any of you guys any more comments?

they're stickier than crazy glue but of course with exceptional grip comes exceptional wear ... i was lucky to get 2 summers out of them but then again that's the price of hard driving

Thank you CarAdvice, just in time for tire replacement shopping for my mk7 GTI. Quick noob question though; I have the performance edition so will these tires be better or worse on the bigger 19inch Santiago rims?

kaz3d save yourself the hastle mate and get the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres over this crap. The Michelin's will be the perfect match for a GTI! Independant testing show the 4S outperform all competitors in every category. Ive got them on my Golf R and they are significabtly better than the Bridgstone Potenza's that I had before hand... Way more grip, sharper turn in response, more confident braking and less noise! As for the sizing, the 19" rims with the smaller profile tyre are going to provide a slightly more firm ride from the added sidewall bulstering, but the actual performance difference won't be noticable unless on the absolute limit of grip. Jump on the forums if you want any further real world unbaised results and i guarantee you, 90% will have the same view as myself ✌️

kaz3d yeah sounds good! TempeTyres is where I source mine, they seem to be the cheapest. I presume the 19" Santiago rims support a 235/35/19 tyre?? TempeTyres have the 4S's in that size for $329 each, whereas jax tyres has them for $369 each. But the difference between them and the Continentals will be huge! It is a lot for tyres though so something to think about mate

Definitely go with the Michelin pilot sport 4, The best tyre on the market at the moment followed by the Continental sport contact 6.

Of course the Michelin 4s is the best. They are Max Performance summer tires. The Falkens are the next class down at the Ultra High Performance summer tires catagory. The Falkens are 96% performance of the 4s at 50% of the cost. Your budget will decide for you.
