For the artifact cave that you were running through at the end with all the lava jumps, i reccomend getting a terror bird because it can fly over the jumps with its glide ability

Pro tip: If you do a flex emote in front of an obelisk the boss will take it as an insult and come out to get you. xD

Tip: If you're playing on the Island, start with the Broodmother (green obelisk). Why? - Requires only 3 artifacts - Artifact caves are the easiest IMO - You can beat her with megatherium pretty easily, which are easier to tame and breed than rexes (more spawn locations for high levels, easier K/O) - Beating her will unlock the Tek helmet, which supplies UNLIMITED oxygen (if fueled with element), which is SUPER useful for running the underwater caves needed for the other two "sub-" bosses.

I honestly cannot play Ark without Arkwiki and Dododex. But even that is not always enough. The third key ingredient to have fun playing Ark: people like you! Tip: for scrooched earth, or any other one-huge-room caves you need only paraschutes, crossbow with grapples, and some ,,emergency" weapon(you dont need this one)

One tip I've learned on the island specifically is to take a raft with a well protected box and bed as close as possible by water too the targeted cave. Makes it close than base to get your artifact somewhere safe. And provides a closer by spawn point in the case of the inevitable

My first time going into a cave and my raptor died. So this time I'm going to tame 10 dilos Wish me luck. Update, the dilos work very well but if your going to try this DO NOT GIVE THEM MORE THAN 2 LEVELS IN MOVEMENT SPEED.

Enjoying the series a lot even as an experienced player! When you get to the late game guides, I humbly request that your guide on mutations be as in-depth and "made for dummies" as possible. I've seen several guides that are supposed to simple but get I lost midway through. I understand nearly every aspect of this game but still struggle to properly understand mutations and stacking them correctly. I kinda get it, but feel like I don't fully understand. Maybe it's just more RNG/luck based than I realize? I'm doing my first vanilla/official play through and have a feeling I'm going to need to finally learn these concepts. Thank you in advance!

Things to bring before going to artifact runs 1. Grappling hooks (especially in the cave of the skylord) 2. The best swords and armour. On mobile I noticed that when your armour is mostly ascendant arthro spits don’t work that well to it. Unknown for PC though. 3. The Best Weaponry. Best to bring ascendants, at least every weapon you bring is ramshackle even(except for pump-actions, any quality of the shotty is good). My caving gear is hide or flak(considering I bring three other armour sets, the last being hide, the middle is good enough quality of chitin), a primitive pump-action(best for mid-range killing of snakes or bats), an ascendant longneck(just any good damage rifles, snipers also work well, the prime weakness of arthros), an ascendant sword(used for onycs and very close snakes) an ascendant wooden shield(cheap, light and effective to block arthro spit. Optional though) a pre-crafted campfire(just in case of ration shortage, mostly consisting of berries taken from the item bags the insects drop), some stimulants(especially if you bring tames that have incredibly low torpor drainage, like the frog i use a high level frog for all my spelunking needs) and three canteens of water. 4. Tames. The literal most important guy to bring. Ranging from arthros to the extremely underrated frog and bary, these are your other only hopes for survival. 5. The boss you plan to fight will affect which will artifacts you’ll need to summon them, along with some other various stuff from other animals to really summon them. If fighting the dragon only use herbivores. Carnivores are extra damaged by the dragon. Aditionally look at what a boss will summon during the fight. The broodmother summons areanios so bring the giant sloth with you since if it kills a arenio it gets bug buff which makes it's damage god teir in my opinion

I have a trick that I just knew/learned that if you load the whole cave to let the ads spawn and deload it, the ads will fall into the void(excluding onycs) and you will have an easier run.
