The problem, as I see it, is that many of those weapons are not that great--that is why you can buy them for gold at ANY TIME. You can not buy Magebreaker, one of the best level 2 weapons for MK, as well as Cursed Light, among others. You don't even need to go through getting cursed dragon horns to earn RC. Just fight cursed dragons any time you're relatively confident you can beat them (and the Dark Bishop and his pet isn't that hard at all). Players can get two strong bows just by using Moonbeam Gems. If you have already beaten Grigori then you have some of the strongest weapons in the game, any way. There are great daggers found in chests deep within the Everfall as well as BBI. So yes, you don't need to purify to get SOME, but what Barroch sells isn't creme de la creme.

for someone who just arrived in BBI from the main game those weapons can be a good step up on the way to the "good stuff". other than that you are right, there are a lot of weapons that are better.

If you look at what Barroch sells-some are entry level, others have higher level requirements. People “just starting out” would most likely have one or two of them, the rest are found in early quest areas, or can be bought at Caxton’s, or the Devilfire Grove merchant; others can only be found or bought post-dragon. By that point, a player probably has some pretty good stuff. One also should look at what stage the weapons Barroch sells them at. His entire inventory of weapons isn’t readily available to a player ‘just starting out.’

@@dugarrYT If you're lucky or if you can kill yourself, you can easily have a lot of BBI lvl 3 weapons where there are 2 chained gore cyclops by stealing them with the proler and his master thief skill. As long as an ennemy didn't notice you, it works. I never tried on death but I'm sure there is a way to steal his lantern. I think it's not a well-known tip.

Well, this would have been good to know while I was struggling. Thankfully on my 2nd attempt (which was an absolute bitch and a half) I got the Blackwing Bow and have been sitting pretty (mostly, Frostwryms still suck) since. Really hoping DD2 will have better itemization for its endgame. I mean it still surprises me that BBI had any form of smart loot well before that even became a thing in looters like Diablo 3. But there's always room for improvement.

On that ledge is a gateway to a flight of stairs, you are completely out of range for every attack there.

I just set it in front of the bottom center door ( it'll respawn twice for every bait) That's how I get it to respawn...via walking in/out of the bottom door Then simply roll behind the rock...so I can BUFF MA or MK. Then simply climb on the rock. Light 3 flame orbs and swing. If I use MA...it'll usually get jammed between the rock and building ( i just shoot rivet Bolts at it's feet...it dosnt matter) Most of it is just so I can shoot it out of sky..so I can scale it. He cant hurt me ..if Im behind that rock...even if he spits poison..ect it's actaully easier than killing the regular/weak drake At devil's grove. Drake will get on top, go behind or around that rock...in devil' groove. He will chase you almost to where the globins are near the cyclops. You wont make it ground level fast enough if you're on the second floor... if you want to scale it. Once I scale it. It'll never fly again. Its over in under 60 sec p/kill. I'll carry 10-15 bait with me..when Im ready to farm I farm RC via killing the curse dragon. 2 curse dragon will respawn in the Black abby. It's a little more challenging. it's just another way to get to infinity or farm R/C faster..if know how to kill it. On the other hand....I use that door on the second floor. Run back up the other way to farm death.. i usually lure it in the hall way..Then roll back down to that door( after I damage it) then exit/re-enter. Save...godbine....set bait to get it to respawn. This way I dont have to run all the way back to the top/front door.

@@dugarrYT i got lucky on my current play through. i got the black wing bow ( from killing drake in the blue moon). i didnt kill diamon 1 st form , yet :-P ....I also got the Trophy Boots from lv 2...So it made more sense to do the quest to get the jacket and bracer. I just like the way it looks on my ( Female) character..even if it dosnt have to best protection ( but it has more items augment for the boots) Trophy outfit...with silk stocking, white plate vest , wryn hunt mental. Everything matches color wise. I still cant get lv3 carrison bracer. (as always).to complete that outfit. I have the red boots...but it's not augmented with lite items augment. i still have to farm it. i have lots of lv3. I tired different vocations..ect The game isnt giving me the carrion bracer. There's has to be something that trigger the game to purify that bracer. I forget...what happened..but I pretty much did all the quest on the last play through...by the time I got carrison bracer. Lots of RC just to get those matching gloves..lol

The one you get from the tip of the spear art at dragonforged area. Also, do you recommend me finishing the main story. i'm hesitant to do it coz i kinda want to get strong and do most of the side quests before pursuing the main story, any tips. thanks. I haven't really done anything in BBi except stealing and looting stuff. I killed the one eyed monster and one regular cyclops but that's about it. my bow can handle the monsters but i feel like my daggers and my level is not good enough for me to destroy the BBi monsters. I think i can fight the monsters but i will need a lot of help from my pawn and a lot of curatives :)

@@dugarrYTyeah, I don't mind a suffled RNG list where you can get random items but in order so you don't get duplicates. I started playing this game since 2022, took a long break in 2023 with RE4 and baldur's gate 3 and subnautica, so I'd just play DDDA to get one lvl 2 weapon from that arena every once in a while. I crap you not, I purified over 45 items, until I finally got the buckler yesterday. By then, I already finished the main story and made it to the final boss in bitterblack. Anyway, I know you're not the dev lol, I just really hope they don't play us like this in DD2... But then again, they did in RE4, so I'm not hoping for anything good in that regard.

The Movement pattern of Daimon is easier to read than that of the Drakes. But he hit harder too.

@@Norinia I think there is an ice drake variant that doesnt care if you hit em with ice outside the impact from glicel or something lol but the ice variant of drakes are the easiest version because its really easy to make them flinch and they are weak to fire which blast arrows and comestion covers.

@@RaidenKaiser That’s called a Wyrm. They aren’t all called Drakes. A Drake is the fire ‘dragon’. It’s main characteristic is it’s massive aggression, how it prefers to just endlessly attack you. A Wyrm is the ice ‘dragon’. It’s main characteristic is how it casts tons of magic at you. Finally, it’s ‘thunder variant’ is called a Wyvern. It’s a mix of the prior two, plus it’s heart it’s back instead of it’s stomach area. (All 3/4ish have their hearts in different locations, but the Wyvern is the most different of all with it’s back location instead) For the Wyrm at least, you then change the formula and kill it with fire. Drake you kill with Ice, and I don’t know for sure with a Wyvern, but climbing on it’s back while I’m on fire (Magick Archer speciality 😅) would tend to do a shit ton of damage 😅) Then, once you kill Daimon once, all 3 tend to Upgrade on Bitterblack isle, gaining a ton of extra health and just being that much tougher still.

Am new here, what are the best bbi lvl 1 & 2 daggers an bows for my strider. Currently am confused on whats broken to good, sometimes my lower dmg daggers do more dmg then my higher dmg daggers. Same goes for bows, any way to tell what weapon is rare/good/o.p?

it all depends on the enemies you are facing. there is no one „best“ weapon. i like to run around with one rusted weapon for torper and an elemental (which i switch out depending on the enemy). if you want an allrounder weapon try something with holy

Du kannst nachdem du den Drachen gekillt hast einmal aus dem Raum raus und wieder reiny dann ist Instant ein neuer Drache da. So kannste mit 1 Fleisch 2 Drachen killen. Und ein Drache gibt bis zu 10K Riftcrystal wenn du Glück hast.

Some BBI quests are tied to your main game progress, but at your level that shouldn't be a problem anymore ;-)

Well except for the GAZER or DARK BISHOP! Living Armor on the other hand is easy...just lure it off the edge somehow 😂 yes sadly you will lose the materials but tbh I don't think you will need it unless you plan on forgering gear further than regular dragon forge? Some upgrades are so insane you will need some of Daimon's material drops 😢 anyways gl. It took me forever to beat him as a sorcerer along with my other 3 sorcerers cause Daimon is a PAIN. Well ..if you are playing mage/sorcerer class 😅😢

On Bitterblack Isle you'll find Cured items that have "Lvl1", " Lv2" and "Lvl3" in it's Name. Those can be Weapons, Armor, Accessoires or Novelty Items and must be Purified by an NPC named "Olra" who you will find at the BBI Harbor.

too bad you cant buy the "magebreaker" from Barroch. I dont know, the system of the BBI items is ridiculous. I tried 6 hours of grinding today to get the magebreaker and I still dont have it. I hope they get rid of such nonesense at Dragons Dogma 2. Why do they not respect our rare gametime?

Du bekommst auf BBI immer nur drei Quests zur selben Zeit angezeit. Wenn Acursed Errant nicht dabei ist sollte es reichen irgendeine der vorhandenen zu machen. Ich spiele übrigens auf GOG, crossplay mit Steam ist leider nicht möglich.

Vor allem dein Strider Guide zum Bestehlen hat all meine Geldsorgen gelöst, in Kombi mit 3 Pawns die +15% Verkaufswert gehen. Der Blutzyklop ist die schnellste Goldeinnahmequelle für 0 Risiko. Einfach grandios.
