Appreciate you checking out this quick video. This started as a test in my living room as I was trying out a few different things and then realized I could edit a quick breakdown out of it. Let me know any questions below :)

thanks so much! glad to hear you liked it. i know at times it’s helpful to have more info and context as to ‘why’ things were done a certain way but yes totally agree at times fast is v nice

Love this style of tutorial. ironic how you're doing less than other tutorials, and yet I feel like I learned more. Thanks for putting this out there!

From the b cam pov When he came and sat on the chair with no lighting and just was lit with window, that was perfect, I prefer that look over all others XD, maybe the hair light was a nice touch but that's it

Interesting, so did I see right that you had some hard light on the clothing but a softer key light for face?

Great video Blase! Quick and upto the point. May I know how you managed to hang that back light (the Nanlite 60b) from the ceiling?
@blasepivovar11 ай бұрын
Thanks so much! Haha yes figured someone would ask. There is a plant ceiling hook right there in my living room. I simply attached an Impact super clamp to it. The hook is screwed into a stud, hence me feeling safe about the weight of the FS60B

Taking a look at how big the window is, I would think that all of the lighting placements are motivated by that? Now, when you used the harsher light on your clothing and the softer light on your face, was that motivated by the position of where the sun could be during that time of day? Does that sound about right? The lighting set up is fantastic! Subscribed!
@blasepivovar11 ай бұрын
Yep pretty much exactly my idea! Hence all the lights coming from the same side of the room. Have been trying to incorporate more hard light as of recent
@BourgeFilms11 ай бұрын
@@blasepivovar are you incorporating harsh light for a balanced, I guess you can say, “flow” of light? Pretty much where light is harsher and softer on some parts due to natural light positioning? I suck at lighting so forgive me if this doesn’t make sense 😂
@blasepivovar11 ай бұрын
@BourgeFilms yeah for setups where the motivation is the sun / window light, hard and soft light mixed can look more realistic. keep at it!

Can I ask what is the rendering format of your video when uploaded to KZbin? is it mp4 or mov I'm using google translate to write, sorry for my English
