I got my mini stereo hooked up, straight from the composite console cable into the rear connections. Con: Need to power it on seperately. Pro: Amazing sound plus the option to run oldschool Cassettes or CDs alternatively to a boring gamescore. We do that usually when buddys come over and have an arcade evening with cool games and great albums.

Love it! Awesome hearing other creative ways to hook up audio.

Very nice. I have my Genesis stereo out running into a Harman Kardon subwoofer/speaker combo, most commonly used for PCs. I was thinking of doing exactly what you did however for my other systems, I just picked up some JBLs from a garage sale for $2.

Cheapest way to do it! I used to have a Logitech setup from an old PC.

@@RetroGameRarities big cost is something that comes into play way too often in life. So I try to mitigate the costs of my hobby by playing old cheap analog stuff. Unfortunately, others have caught on, and there aren't as many deals out there nowadays. Thanks for the video!

This is awesome! I wish I had some space in my current setup for speakers like that. I have been looking at some smaller speakers to improve the audio a bit from the small, mono speaker in my Sony PVM.

I have some decent Goodwill's near me. Someone is always donating multimedia speakers or shelf stereos.

@grenks. Nope. They have to be outputs.
@RetroGameRarities8 ай бұрын
@grenks. Inputs are only to connect a component to the set. I.e. DVD player, VCR, game console. That feeds into the TV and out the speakers. You need the audio from the TV going out to external speakers. No output=no external speakers.

How would a subwoofer be used/hooked up to this set up.
@RetroGameRarities2 жыл бұрын
Do you have a speaker set that connects the satellite speakers directly to the subwoofer?
@ryanmichalski74202 жыл бұрын
@@RetroGameRarities no speakers yet just in the process of planning out my retro set up.

@@ryanmichalski7420 rockin. Yeah, I use a pair of Bose satellite speakers that plug directly into a Bose subwoofer, then subwoofer to amp. Works great. Good luck!

Found a Bose acoustimass 6 Series 3 set with sub for $50. Thinking those should work with my D-Series. Do you know if the same kind of amp you’re using in the video would be enough to power them?

My god thank you so much for this video. Question, how did you hook up the sub? I'm dumb lol. Thanks big guy.
@RetroGameRarities2 жыл бұрын
My sub and speakers are connected as a set. So, my speakers wire into the sub and then out to the amp. I'd have to see what your setup is to determine best hookup. You could post to my Twitter with some pix if you like. @RetroGRarities

@@RetroGameRarities Absolutely will do that. Thanks man!
