Got it on my second try. Also FYI to anyone trying to skip the lift into leyndell - you can take the warp chest and then put down a summon sign, with taunter's tongue and wait for an invader to go up the the lift. The person who invaded me waved and left and I took the lift down.

@@josephhausser3096 That worked for me, Thanks! Then glitch didn't on linux and the latest shadow of the erdtree patch. For anyone to attempt this, you need to use the item for coop and than the tongue. Best place to do this is around the giant in the back of the grace. I tried a few times but the invaders were all summoned on the upside

This is now one of my favorite weapons as it can one-shot many lesser enemies. However I think you need to be much stronger before attempting to get it. You can't really run past everything to reach it. I had to complete the White Mask Varré quest and use an invader to get early access to Leyndell Capital. I simply waited for an invader at the Divine Bridge and he had to use the lift to get to me. I got killed but the invader unlocked the lift.

Thanks a lot man, was farming the achievements and that was the only weapon i'm missing to get platinum on ps5, but i beat malaketh so i couldn't get it. I tried from NG+ and got it in 10 mins from the beginning! Got lucky with the force quit glitch and did it in 3 tries, and the parkour at the end was easy because I just killed all the enemies since I was level 150, so I kept trying and got it. Liked and subbed.

TYVM! i actually nailed the jump first try but slipped off on the last section that you have to jump over to get the spear.. Gut wrenching. Took 7 tries before i got the jump again lol

Thanks bro super helpful and easy to understand. Spent 40min trying the first jump between the gap, but it was worth it. Tip: People using PC better off use keyboard to jump, you'll jump higher than using controller.

Great Guide, still works! You can also skip the grace in caelid and go straight to the one in Leyndell via the trapped chest, Melina will take you to the roundtable from there aswell.

Yeah this is known as a "wrong warp", Each game by fromsoft has had this in some form . The game forgets the player location when the game is shut down as it finishes loading, so the devs solution is to have a "default location" that the player gets sent to if this happends (in this case, the default location is right after the sentinel & the wall)

Still works on PS5! Took me about 50 tries because you can't easily see it and the game keeps loading even if you tab out, but got it eventually! What worked for me was to hold the PS logo, press "options" while on the Elden Ring game and then close game. Like I said, it took me a good 50 tries, but got there in the end!

Just came across this while looking for a guide to get this weapon after reaching the capital by normal means since it's such a big area and actually manage to do the jump first try not getting hit. Granted I'm a proper level for the area so getting hit didn't matter. Will have to try out the full process the next time I start a new character.

Thing is lots of people at level 1 or even higher will surely die a good many times before reaching and getting Gransax....as could be seen you did from the couple "Retrieve Vigor" indicators along the way. I recall on my way to got through the areas on my normal playthrough to get Gransax I was much higher level and those enemies along the way were pure hell. And that is not even counting the deathtrap jumps, parkouring and climbing and getting attacked while doing so.

Yah I hear what you’re saying mate 👍🏼 obviously i died along the way as I said in the video it was just a challenge to see if I could do it at level one and that others can if they chose too. I like to try and do weapon runs for new players and current players to make full runs interesting and different. It’s a level 70+ ish area on a normal playthrough. Thanks for watching mate 🦊

You should probably add a warning that shutting off your console while it's saving or loading can irrevocably corrupt your save data. That's why every game ever has that "This game uses an autosave feature. Don't turn off your console when you see this symbol" message. Corrupted data may not be a big deal when you're 30 minutes into a meme run, but the people who have actually been exploring and fighting bosses for some 30+ hours and just haven't gone to Leyndell yet, a corrupted game file would be a painful loss.

Still works 14.07.24 and i did the jump in first try no deaths :) and i when i got there first time and died i saw the yellow orb but i didnt know how to get there ty for helping
