a summary: 1. drink water (3x34 ounces) 2. steam your face (you can use a steamer or fill up a bowl/sink with hot water and drape a towel over your head 3. use a gentle cleanser (one that won't dry out your skin) - while steaming 4- do a mask (aztec secret indian beauty mixed with apple cider vinegar to form a pudding consistency is what she uses - don't use metals instruments with it!!) - once again, while steaming. finish steaming with mask on, then let it dry. 3. wash off with lukewarm water (your skin might be red because this mask will enhance blood circulation) 4. 3% hydrogen peroxide as toner in problem areas 5. moisturize - massage

i tried this yesterday and am really impressed with the results so far. i am a 15 year old girl and i have mild acne mainly on my cheeks. i woke up with smoother skin and i can say that 40% of the bumps on my face have gone flatter. i feel like the steaming process helped alot because i often use this clay mask without steaming my face and see results but not as big results as when i applied the mask while steaming my face. i dont have a proper steaming machine so i just boiled some water in a bowl and used that instead. overall this really helped but i still need help with my acne scars!

I can confirm this works because I've been using this method for years when I need to deep clean my skin. You don't need to use the products she has. Just make sure your face is clean as she says to start. If I'm feeling fancy I'll steam my face, but as long as you wash your face with hot water, you're good. After that I like to use a scrub so I can get all the dead skin off. I'll wash that off again with hot water and then I'll apply a clay mask. Any will work, mine is $2 from walmart for a big bottle I can never seem to finish. I normally leave that on for at least a half hour. Sometimes I leave it on for multiple hours while I watch a movie or something. Wash it off with hot water and then splash your face with cold water. The cold water closes up the pores. I then apply moisturizer. I promise you will wake up the next day with better skin! As Farah says, don't do this often! It can be irritating and abrasive to the skin. I probably do it every month and sometimes I go longer than that. It's a great method!

The amount of dirt that comes from wiping my face with rose water is insane. I sometimes do this without a mask. I do use a pore strip every now and then. I FINISH THIS METHOD WITH ALOE VERA! ! Desarae Marsh I've definitely done the steamer plus Aztec healing clay a lot, but I don't think I've steamed my face with the mask on at the same exact time although I'm not sure how much of a difference that makes. Both the steamer and the mask (even when used alone) have helped me maintain clearer skin which has been through the complete spectrum of severity. However, this routine can definitely dry out your skin if done too often or if you're not moisturizing afterwards.
@NM-rt9im7 жыл бұрын

@Nailartlover667 жыл бұрын
dontstressitx3 I personally use it once to twice a week depending on how bad my skin is, and spot treat it every night for the stubborn zits :) I wouldn't recommend using it more frequently because it can really dry out your skin!
@smriti24x77 жыл бұрын
Desarae Marsh It works for my regular acne but not for my hormonal acne. I have super oily skin but if I do this as much as 3 times a week, my skin becomes quite dry and flaky. Once a week, however, keeps it balanced and acne free (mostly)

I would recommend using benzoyl peroxide instead of hydrogen peroxide. Both of them have similar adverse effects like drying, bleaching, peeling, free radical formation and aging but a study shows that increased hydrogen in the skin is associated with inflammation. Benzoyl peroxide is overall safer long term and it's used in dermatology and skincare products whereas hydrogen peroxide is not.

Oh God, you're so cute! That squeaky clean sound and reaction on 'steamed' lip balm- 😃 I love most of your skincare videos. Very useful, seriously. Especially for coloured skin.

That mask does work really well for acne but she does not have problematic skin. She has under 5 pimples. I wouldn't recommend people that have actual acne to use this everyday because it is extremely drying and prolong use this way will cause acne. It will irritate the skin.
