On this day in 1976 {June 20th} "Get Closer" by Seals and Crofts {with Carolyn Willis} peaked at #2 {for 2 weeks} on Billboard's Easy Listening chart, for the two weeks it was at #2, the #1 record for both those weeks was "Today's The Day" by America... "Get Close" peaked at #6 {for 2 weeks} on Billboard's Top 100 chart... Between 1972 and 1980 the Los Angeles duo had thirteen records on the Easy Listening chart, seven made the Top 10 with their three biggest hits all peaking at #2, "We May Never Pass This Way (Again)" for one week in November of 1973, the above "Get Closer, and "You're In Love" for one week in June of 1978...
