fr I'm so tired of facing charizard ex. That deck is just too good all around. Even beats decks meant to counter them (although with some very mild difficulty I guess) I understand for ranked... I suppose. But I even run into zard players in CASUAL. That shit is wack.

Eri would be worth considering here. Once the opponent builds a big hand (and he couldn't play items in the meantime) there's a huge chance that Eri will be very effective. Just imagine getting rid of two rare candies or superior energy retrievals

I almost forgot that Spidops eX and Venomoth still exists in TCG. And its one of the few weakness that a zard player really hates (if you dont include the turo in the deck, its more annoying)

I squeezed in poison point roserade, if the venomoth gets attacked it will poison there active. So get lil mix of confusion/poison. Also good thing to throw in to lock them in active if you need to find another venomoth

I loved Spidops so much when it came out in SV base set! I'm so glad it's still playable post-rotation! Do you think a 1-1 lilligant vstar line would work in the deck?

The reason energy doesn't get discarded if confusion tails is because the attack doesn't happen at all, including any effects of said attack.

Just took this on ladder. Lost to Lugia, but whipped a zard player really hard. I think hand trimmer would be a good addition to this deck as a one of because the opponent will be hard searching for answers and tends to have big hands. Anyway, great deck, lots of fun!

Oh gosh, i played against this archetype like 2 days before rotation. My opponent was all for item locking until i got my pikachu V-Union out with a supporter, powered it up with flaaffy, and then item locked them the whole game 😅

I just played against this exact deck. It was close (2 prize remaining) but I won with Palk/Gholdengo. It came down to a clutch Basculegion. Got all my discarded energy back in the deck then Goldies let me draw into it again.

2 questions, 1: how do u think this will do against hard hitting decks like Tinkaton and Dialga Vstar and 2: Could u give me an understanding to Toedscruel ex and his ability, which I know his ability stops the effect from an attacking Pokemon and it's move. I just want to make sure that it doesn't stop moves that powers the attack

Toadscruel only stops effects of attacks done to your own pokemon from the opponent.

This looks like a fun deck that unfortunately take the L to future hands but seems to have a decent match up against other popular decks. Ideally the vacuums help with that

Future hands heavy baton doesn't work with spidops in play because its retreat cost increases to 5, so you can leave the opoonent without energies, having a vacuum is also another iron hands dead, and tarantoula can trap the Iron Crowns

Spidops also just one shots Iron Hands. I feel this is honestly not that great of a match up for Iron Hands cause Spidops is everything Iron Hands hates.

I added banette to my Xatu/Espathra deck and fought that one Pokemon that makes it so any EX Pokemon does no damage? Yeah, so annoying, they kept picking it up of the bench and putting it back with Penny about 10 times... They finally gave up but could've won since I had 5 cards left in my deck and the last Pokemon they placed discards 2 cards from the top of my deck... Great match.. lol Xatu for the win lol

Spiritomb might be good in the deck, for the rotoms and lumineon. Especially good against stall or control.

I got completely wrecked a couple times as Zard by an actual Venasuar ex deck with big balloon retreat tool and Radiant Tsereena. I got 3 and 4 prizes ahead then just got wrecked cause enough damage couldn’t be dished out the got devo’d… was actually impressive and they built it like Tord Zard deck everywhere else

Chien-Pao still uses Radiant Greninja , as does Lost Box, and the Palkia variant of Gholdengo. I think Manaphy is still a necessary inclusion.
