Hey there, great content and good advice! Just some pointers on general rally technique: You correctly identify that you can't drive rally in the same line as track racing, particularly at first, but you also don't want to brake like you do on a track. It's vital to learn to left-foot brake so that you can hit gas and brake at the same time when needed, as you do in basically all sharp turns. Most people coming from track racing are too afraid of losing grip. But losing grip in a controlled manner is the entire art of rally. Any turn sharper than a 5 you should be at least a bit sideways, and even sometimes on a 5. The basic technique is that, after ensuring that you are entering the corner without too much speed, you squeeze your brakes a bit just as you turn in order to throw the weight of the car forward, dig in the steering wheels, initiate a rotation, and get the car sliding. The timing of this feels scary at first because you are turning so early and so sharply that if you kept grip, you would go right off the road. But you are counting on losing it and continuing forward. You rarely fully let off the gas for this, often not at all, because it's vital to keep your RPMs up. As you drift through the corner you can control the radius of your drifting circle by gently squeezing and releasing the brakes (plus maybe some wheel movement) to tighten or widen your turn as needed. Again, never letting up entirely on the gas.

Yes, that's "racing drift". I learned that from Keiichi Tsuchiya in the DRIFT BIBLE back in 2001. That's a whole thing in itself, and falls under the technique lessons. This one is "general perspective" of how to approach rally as a video game.

Hey TL. Does your clubsport handbrake connect directly to your g29 wheel?

Or do you have any suggestions on how to connect a handbrake to the Logitech G pro racing wheel?

No, I use a drivehub to connect the handbrake. The Logitech Pro is a special case and I'm not sure if it is supported by DH atm.

@@tlracinggtfc3s thank you. I have an Amazon handbrake that works just fine with my current G29 wheel. My pro wheel arrives tomorrow and I’m crossing my fingers it works just as well. Otherwise I probably won’t be using the pro wheel till I can figure something out 😅😅

@@venturanava1396 Amazon Handbrake? You are on PC then correct? You should be fine. The PC can recognize different equipment. It's consoles that have specific OS that need to be tricked.

@@tlracinggtfc3s negative. I myself am on the almighty ps5. This specific hand brake I found on Amazon has a usb entrance and hardwired usb cable. So you plug in the g29s usb into handbrake, then the hand brakes usb into the ps5s usb port.
