As a 23 year old living in my first apartment, I do not decorate for anything. I dont have the storage. When I first moved here a family friend started to get extremely upset that I wasn't decorating for Christmas. I told her we have nowhere to store anything and I thought it was more important to get a bed than a tree. Plus I know I'm not staying here for much longer (I've been here 3 years) and I really don't want all the extra stuff to move. I'm excited to move into a house, I already have my kitchen planned out! But now is just not the time in my life.

I’m old school as well. I feel that being bare hand gives you more control plus it feels cleaner. The only downfall your skin becomes a lot more dry but a little lotion solves that.

When I decorate, I need to be alone so my mind can wander & flow. As we have no kids, I use that inspo time when my husband is at work. This year, I have decided to host Christmas lunch at my house. We are a military family & have not lived near any of my family in like 10 years!! Yes...10! And covid happened while we had to swap military bases from overseas to SC. I was one hour from my mom's house, but could not see anyone due to my husband's job. No vaccine; no visits. But there was no vaccines.... Go figure... Soo this year, my husband is allowing me to let my creativity flow. I've decorated the house, kept things tidy, studied for a certification, and visited family much more. This year I have been happiest. ❤️❤️

Hi 👋 Crystal, Speaking from experience be kind to yourself and schedule just 1 thing to do a day. When I was going through my toughest time I would clean the toilet on Monday and maybe a mirror on Tuesday. It gave me something to get out of the bed for each day. I hope your heart feels better soon.

Hi Crystal! You sound like me! You got this! You still have tomorrow Sunday to clean it up and pop that tree up and throw on the lights. Then hang those stockings! Bam! You did it! Dont give up! You can do it! I am still in a pickle but I still have tomorrow to do alot. Not quitting yet. 😂🤣 And once its done we can chillllll! Please do it! I know you can. Don't over think it. Move the clutter to a storage space basement closets etc. And dont even think about the stuff. Then clear up and clean the main spaces. Then do the tree and then stockings! Hi. I'm new here, I saw your caption & I thought I need to watch this woman lol! I have ocd also! And depression! I have neuropathy so I have trouble getting around! I like to clean with my bare hands. Btw, I'm a little... well alot older than you but I feel like I can relate to you.. I don't have kids, they are grown & my youngest grandkid is 13! You know if you're leaving your tree up until after new years you could have everyone put their new year resolutions on the tree. Just write it down put a strstrong on it & you have a new year tree! Awsome! I love how your bathroom turned out. I loved the horses and cows reminded me of home oh and the Christmas song. It was just too cute. Yall. It gave me the pickme up i needed to start my daily cleaning. Just to let yall know...this really helped cuz we may be battling Covid. the test shows positive for my little Grandson im a young gma by the way..lol 52..trying to keep it positive.and as up beat as i can sustain.not to bring yall down.but just to keep the positive Christmas vibes going inspite of. I love that Theives! My daughter can sale it, but she just buys all her oils and cleaners from Young Living. I use the Theives in my carpet shampooer or for spot cleaning with my shop vac and it really works good and it doesn't take much with how concentrated it is. Just great natural products.

I love it! I will use an iron, steamer, or even my flat iron to get rid of wrinkles! 😂😂 I think the flat iron is my favorite because it gets hot on both sides. I'm working on getting motivated to clean the spare/storage room....🙄🙈🙉🙊

Oh yes!!! I clean (and the kids clean!) WAY better when I finally bought a box of disposable vinal gloves (like a doctor would use)!!! It was worth the small price to me to have everyone working better without fear of germs!!🎉🎉🎉💃💃💃

If it helps, a pumice cleaning stone works wonders for the inside of the toilet! It gets that hard water stain (at least for me) out with less scrubbing ☺️

What do you use to take off the mildew i think it is, in tub around in the ends? Also idk why but my vent got rusty . I definitely need a deep clean in my whole apartment 😩 I just feel overwhelmed with everything I want todo. Hopefully I finally put up my tree and if so im leaving it up for a bit 🤪 A little tip I got from my daughter, in the tank put softer to add a fresh smell. I dont use gloves, its out home to im comfortable without them. Unless its poop from the dog 🐕 😅 Im just like you, I love to decorate 😌 its soothing & when im done i feel so proud & peaceful 😌 😆

I would suggest cleaning top down. Clean the top & shelves before attaching the toilet and floor so that anything that falls down won’t need to be cleaned again.

I have that kind of zen experience when im in an ADHD hyperfocus state. (Also have OCD, perfectionism, etc.) I dont like gloves because I dont like how they feel on my hands. HORSES!! ❤ Sorry, got distracted lol. I feel you about the wall color. It looks nice with certain pieces, is a quick way to tone down white while not being too dark, but after a while it can get old, especially in a room with no windows. The walls in our bedrooms are that color, but there're big windows in them. Weirdly enough, the walls in the main living area are darker, and my dark or same-toned furniture tends to get lost in them. Don't get me wrong, I love dark walls, dark colors in general, etc (never gave up the goth), but when the tone of a room no matter how clean, smelling nice, and lit with natural light is enough to bring you down, the walls need to change. My landlord won't let me. :( Speaking of unchangeable walls, my bathroom walls are this grey/green color several shades darker than baby shit. Any ideas for colors to brighten it up that don't burn the retinas?

Haha! Love you! Still Goth!😂 I feel ya! Thatbsuck you cant change the living room walls. Honestly, I love this Classic Grey and Chantilly lace and Strand of Pearls by benjamin moore. I am sure you can color match wirh other brands if you ask the. I am defintiely going lighter on all walls every where just to brighten up the spaces and make my house feel bigger. I highly recommend those 3 colors if you can handle going that light. They are all still soft and inviting. Not starky. If thats even a word! 🤣 Also, repose grey is pretty if you like greys.

I do not wear gloves when I clean I’ve got to make sure that there’s no residue left behind on countertops or anything else however I did just buy a pack of paper towels on Amazon that they claim each paper towel can be used up to 80 times per paper towel and can be washed can’t wait to give us a try they’re claiming that 20 raw paper towel that I just bought can replace 1600 sheets of regular paper towels I won’t be using this for the bathroom mainly for the living spaces in the house and the kitchen the bathroom I will stick with just basic paper towels I can’t use rags when washing down the bathroom because I just don’t think they get clean enough and I think that would be disgusting and I don’t use Lysol wipes I think they’re a waste of money in my opinion because they don’t really have a bigger surface area I think the bigger it Lysol wipes the exiles be much more easier to use but the small ones no
