Your like a fast cleaning power house!...lol I have list that long everyday and never get all the things checked or crossed off especially not before 1pm. You rock at getting stuff done! I have never heard of friends-giving, but in my mind I've always thought of wanting to do something like that!! Never planned one due to my husband's work schedule and I wasn't sure if others would be all that interested with all busyness of the season, to have to go to one more thing. Maybe I will give it a try. I love the idea of pre-done turkey and your menu plan simple, but so yummy, healthy and festive! We are a small family and cooking a turkey kinda intimidates me, but a whole chicken no problem. Ok about glasses...I know its a bummer to have to have them! I've had to wear them since I was 18 (I'm now 35). In the beginning contacts wear my best friend for about 6 years. I always had a pair of glasses as back up. I started wearing on a daily basis when I was basically living in the hospital while my oldest was fighting cancer and just had my middle son. I just didn't have the time to deal with contacts. And I haven't went back and it been 10 plus years. What I have found is I can't wear heavy glasses, they give me awful headaches!! So I go for the lightweight metal frames with a timeless bottom lens. You can go to my IG creeksidehomeschoolers to see me in glasses for a better look at the style I'm describing. This helps me to not feel like something is on my face all day. Hope this makes since. Check their return policy! Eyemasters has a 30 day one and you can get a completely different pair no charge if you don't like the first pair, no matter the reason! I so had to use this one year, life saver. I also prefer the ones with adjustable nose pieces. They will be annoying to get used to it first, but you'll be glad you can see well and once you find you style your own it and look fabulous as usual! I felt the same way about glasses. At 35 I suddenly was having vision issues. Like one day I was fine and the next I couldn't read. A year later everyone is used to me with glasses. I actually kind of like them. Share where you end up getting them from. I'm due for new ones.

Yep! I had braces at 26 about 8 years ago. I hated them at the time, but 100% happy now! I say get the clear retainers for both top and bottom to wear at night and don't get the permanent metal retainer after you get them off. Its been about 6 years now and I still wear the 2 clear retainers every night and my teeth are perfect! Plus I don't have a permanent retainer on the back of my bottom teeth making me talk funny!!! They put one in after they took off the braces and it broke when I was eating and it hurt really bad. Trust me pay the extra and get the 2 clear retainers for top and bottom to wear at night! Its well worth it. This is just my experience and what I have found works for me. I hope it all go well for you too! Have a great day!

What do you like to use for cleaning your granite and your wood cabinets etc. ? Ok, so I saw that you use Mrs. Meyers! I’ve not used a spray like that on wood so I’m always apprehensive. Lol! Did you use Method bathroom cleaner?

Yes method for bathrooms and I like Mrs Meyers for counters and the bathroom scrub in the sink. I do use Clorox on the toilets and I use a damp cloth for cabinets!

@@GraceandGrit it is a first, but it does get easier and with workouts you might really enjoy them more than glasses. Oh and when it rains; I wear my contacts if I have to be out and about otherwise my glasses just get so many wet spots on them. I keep cleaning wipes with me too. Don't bother with the washable ones just buy the disposables.

Ashely if it’s possible can you please tell me how you write your quarry reports using the TGTB? This is my first time using it and I’m using levels 3 and 5 . I don’t see like most curriculum that they each lesson numbered with the child is doing ? All I see is basically the scope and sequence and my report is due Friday and I have no idea how to write it unless I go thru all the lessons and write down what we have down instead of copy and paste like other curriculums.

If you have the whole curriculum for 3 and 5 pdf or printed coursebook the table of contents tells you exactly what is being taught for each lesson. I just write the date we finished the lesson next to it. Then you can simply make a copy for your report. This is for your state homeschool report right? If so, you don't have to get to over the top, only turn it what is absolutely a must. Think of it as a show and tell for you as an opportunity to brag on how much and how well your child is doing up to this point of the school year in each subject. Not sure if this is the help you needed or not, but best of luck!

Creekside Homeschoolers thank you for taking the time to answer my question, yes it is for my state homeschool report. This is the first time Im using TG&TB I have always used Abeka, and Im used to being able to go online and just copy and paste what we have done and that’s it. When I went to look on the level 3 and 5 I only saw that the book only contained the “At the Glance” section which showed what I would actually use for the IHIP not the quarterly 😭. I purchased the physical materials i figured that it would have it, would you be able to tell me how I can do it ? If it’s not to much trouble. I can provide you with my email if that ok or we can talk thru here, my report is due Friday so I even tried emailing them but they weren’t able to help on told me to check Facebook community . @@mrschrissyg.5955 yes I went back and saw that. I believe its because these concepts are continuously taught throughout the whole curriculum instead of just one lesson. It appears to me level 5 is more geared towards the writing side of Language Art applying the concepts learned in previous levels. I'm not sure exactly how your state requires you to lay it all out. But I just list the concepts they have learned and are using up to this point. And from what I can gather and see level 5 has most all of the "at a glance" concepts throughout all the lessons. So if you copied it and sent it in I feel that would be sufficient. Most curriculum are going to offer something to turn into the state. I keep it simple like I said above and maybe you could make a note saying the concepts are weaved throughout each lesson and put into action in their writing. I think sometimes we over think exactly what the state is wanting to know. I would also look into unschooling laws in your state even if your not exactly unschooling it might require less to turn into the state. Abeka has a accredited version of their curriculum and it was made for private school so they will have more details reports on what was learned when. I know I'm not being very helpful, sorry! You can go to "there's no place like home" KZbin channel she had a video about how she reports to her state which requires way more than mine. She doesn't use TG&TB but her state has some of the most strict homeschooling laws. I find her way and explanation very helpful. Best of luck!
