Thank you Anne for making me feel a musicien at 72 years and for the inspiration you give me to sit down and practice in a structured programme. I do love your very clear canadian english accent. Have a nice Sunday. José

I am in the process of organizing all of the music I have purchased from your Music Discoveries shop (which is a full 3” binder) and categorizing by music type: Christmas, Valentine’s Day, hymns, wedding, dinner music. Then categorizing each of those sections by levels: i.e. beginner, intermediate, etc. This will take me awhile to finalize. However, after listening to “Beauty of the Earth” several times, I am thinking about purchasing the $30 course. I think this song is versatile and could be used at weddings, for dinner music, and of course, a hymn. I am grateful for all of your music that you have created; I feel blessed and inspired to continue on my harp journey with all of your wonderful and beautiful music. I just wish I could ‘clone’ your talent and abilities and embed them into my brain and fingers. That would be so amazing lol. 🙂

Hello Anne, I have just found your channel and your books. I began with the Suzuki method and almost gave up tonight. Then I found your channel and realized, it's too much, too soon and I wanted to enjoy being a beginner. Then I found your books and now my next few months are planned learning those. Thank you for being there, even when you didn't know you were and stopping me from quitting in despair.

This planner seems to be a solution for some of us who are floundering in the area of disorganized practices. For my purposes, identifying the stages of learning gave guidelines to assess where I am within each piece. This will also help to spot weakness in my practice routine, and implement realistic goals. Thanks for the structure- much appreciated!
@annecrosbygaudetmusic2 жыл бұрын
Great comment Valerie! When we understand that a piece needs to move through phases we can be kinder to ourselves and enjoy the process.

Alot of sound wisdom here Anne. Im going to use this for the next three weeks, Ill let you know how I get on 🙂. Sometimes not knowing the stage of development a piece is in can be discouraging and immobilizing. Im going to revisit pieces that I previously worked on and now feel ready to move forward with. Love these stages of development of learning a piece of music.. so incredibly helpful. Oh I think I will be putting Clair de Lune on my wish list 🙂

Keeping the phases in mind is a good way to observe progress without judgement. You have such a great attitude toward long-term learning goals!

@@annecrosbygaudetmusic it is a journey not just in terms of musical skill and development but of understanding ones own longings, desires and learning style…that takes time, trial and error but nothing is wasted. I’m going to view each piece in terms of these three phases of development. It’s genius!

@@annecrosbygaudetmusic Hi Anne! Wanted to thank you for the email you sent out regarding the new lesson For The Beauty of the Earth and explaining we would need another password for this area of the learning website!!! I thought I was creating another account. 😀 Question for you… how long would I have to learn the Beauty of The Earth song? I would like to try this lesson but I know I would need a lot of time. Is it at my own pace? Thanks Anne! 🦋 Victoria

@@annecrosbygaudetmusic I went and looked again at your video and my eagle eye 👁 noticed a new late intermediate piece?? In this new platform, will we be able to just purchase the sheet music only? You are sneaky Anne, in a good way!! 😜

@@msavard0 LOL yes, I hid a little teaser for Clair de lune in that video 🙂 The way it's going to work is the Shop will still be your home for buying sheet music and the new Podia platform is your home for taking courses. There are a bunch of fancy reasons why I'm keeping them separate. It's like having a house and a cottage!

Hi Anne: Tried to download from link in You tube video and I tried to use my password for Music Discoveries and it says I don’t have a valid email. I then tried link again and it looks like I need to set up a totally new account? I then went to the regular MD site and got in with my usual email and password. Tried to find the workbook on your regular site but couldn’t find the workbook. Am I doing something wrong! 😃

Hi Mary, you just discovered that Music Discoveries Courses is a new platform, separate from Music Discoveries Shop. So you need a new account to access courses and learning resources. You'll get the hang of it!

Hi Anne, I cannot seem to download the practice planner as I already have an account. Is there another way to download it?

Hi Marion, the Practice Planner and courses are on a brand new platform. So you actually need a new account, separate from the Music Discoveries Shop. Just set up a new password when the link asks for your email and you should be good go. The Shop is for sheet music and Podia is for courses.
