There is a lot of buzz saying that Ridley’s gun took Percy’s soul. So one of the fan theories is that will create the loophole to bring him back. Vax didn’t see signs of the Matron after all, so it’s possible his soul has not crossed over.

Perhaps the matron wants Vax to save Percy if Orthax is circumventing the natural progression of Percy's soul

@@MovieverseOnline That's what I'm thinking. Also, in the funeral we get the phrase "Deliver the light where darkness dwells" repeated three times. I think that's an instruction from the Dawnfather.

I have a feeling that Grog gets a certain magical item (one that Laura kept taking away from Travis) that has the potential to be used to bring back Percy. It's not how it worked in the campaign, but it certainly can be used in this way. Possibly used after Ripley and Orthax are defeated.

"I don't want to be alone tonight, do you?" "I haven't wanted to be alone most nights." One of their most iconic exchanges from the campaign, and it was used quite effectively. It's sad that it came at a cost, but I think Percy would have wanted this for them. To find love and comfort in the wake of tragedy. Besides, even Vex wouldn't say no to that. She knows that those two need each other, to not repeat her own mistake of leaving things unsaid.

If only the Matron didn’t swoop in to be a freaky cock-blocker.

There's no way they won't bring Percy back... he's one of the fan favorites. I think they just need to take a bit more time, let the death have more of an impact to the audience.

We're going to have to face Ripley and Orthax to get Percy back. I'm thinking it'll be revealed that all our bad guys have been working with The Whispered One. Spoilers: Ripley will have been working with Raishan all along, Raishan is definitely working for Vecna, Delilah will be revealed before the end, and now we have Zerxus, and perhaps even Orthax working for Vecna too.

That would be interesting if they tied all of them back to the whispered one

It's hard to have a favorite moment in such a painful episode. But, there are some things I like. I like how sharp that arrowhead looks in Vex's hand when she breaking down over Percy's tomb. I do and don't like Keyleth and Vax getting together. It makes sense narratively, and it's as close as they could come to that moment in the campaign, which happened after a different death. And I'm more than ready for them to stop stammering and gazing awkwardly at each other. But right here, it just... I don't know. I just don't want to hear from them in this moment. (Now I'm thinking about what I'd rather be seeing? I don't know. Trinket, maybe? Anyone offering an ounce of condolence to Cassandra? But that's just me in my feelings. None of that furthers the story itself, and none of these scenes can afford to be about one thing anymore.) I am intrigued by the Matron's appearance. Maybe I'm grasping at straws, but I think she's trying to tell Vax something important. I like Grog coming up with the idea for an army. It's possibly a nod to the way Travis would often have the best ideas at the table, but couldn't declare them, because of Grog's lack of intelligence. I feel like there's a shadow arc for Grog this season, because he does seem to be a little smarter than he was. I like seeing Kash and Zahra again. Vex's scene with Syldor was great. I do have a few notes. Those notes are: Great. Great. Great. Amazing. I hate watching the end of this episode. During the campaign, there was an army to fight Thordak. And there were casualties, but it was at a distance. Seeing all these soldiers die in a few seconds is horrible.

Your right. It was a pretty heavy episode. But the scene between vex and syldor was incredible
