One other mystical aspects of historical comet points of view lies within its capacity to make people afraid of something of a future catastrophic event. World history has shown how comets have preceded recorded catastrophic events, as well as wars between cultures leading to massively historic downfalls.

You forgot the 6 planet alignment too. I’ve been going outside to look at Saturn 🪐 every other night. I’m fortunate to live somewhere with minimal light pollution. I wish it was dark enough though to see the band of the Milky Way. That would be beautiful

ANY good dark sky site the Milky Way can easily be seen. I live 110 miles north of San Francisco at an elevation of 1100' and, by glancing sideways from this computer, I can see the ocean about a mile away (ZERO light polution that direction) and easily see the bright band of our galaxy on every clear night. Most of the people living in this area are 'dark sky conscious' and most have little if any yard lights and with the night skies being quite dark. I grew up in rural Oregon in the mid 50's under dark skies and the view here is every bit as good as it was there, and with a plus......From this location I can easily see ALL of Scorpio, while in Oregon, the 'Stinger' was often difficult to see as it was so low, plus the bright lights of Portland 20 miles away often created too much light polution to view it. It is amazing to hear the audacity of the narration which tells people that a comet going around the sun may increase the magnitude of its brightness. That is exactly what will NOT happen because a comet is not an icy snowball. A comet is no different than a massive rocky formation acting as a capacitor, which illuminates through a massive discharge of electricity that it had picked up while escaping within its orbital path of the sun and the solar system. It then, becomes brighter as it gets closer to the sun because it's releasing its electrical conductivity. That my friends, is why it has a tail of brightness. The electricity will continue to be released from the fragments that are being cast off of it, during the reentry, and exit of the solar system due to such immense electrical discharge. As it leaves the solar system however, it then begins its accumulation of the negative ions that are within the outer solar belt and then continues to consume more of them when it re enters within its orbital path. Once it passes back through that ionic belt, passing into the solar system, that's when it starts discharging those particles of negative ions because it will gain positive ions from the sun's solar wind, inside the solar system... If anything, after it goes around the sun, it should start diminishing its brightness, however the tail may continue to grow for a particular amount of time, being pushed away by the solar wind.
