Between the socketing system, rank rewards adjustments, and rank rewards for Arena, there are a lot of new features this wipe that will have an impact on the marketplace. Everything is very cheap the first few days of wipe as everybody tries to sell every little scrap of wealth they get to fund their gear to build kits. What do you guys think the price of epic and legendary gems will be once were halfway through the wipe and the price stabilizes? I'm thinking 400ish per epic rarity and 800-900 per legendary gem, but I'm sure some gems will be way more meta than others in this systems early iteration.

Tough call. With the move of Lich to the Crypts, I am assuming he's bringing his pile with him. Along with spectral/banshee as well as inferno and ice abyss, there will be ample chance to supply the gems. However, I don't think you can underestimate the SHEER DEMAND these gembos are gonna have (particularly certain gembos). Mid wipe assessment: Epic rarity around 500-800 depending on type, Legendary rarity, especially if Arena leaderboard rewards are teased, could go as high as 2000 on first day of each arena week.

I'm guessing 300-400 for the bad purple gems and 1200-1800 for the good ones like rubys and 1k for bad legendary gems and 3500 for good ones. If theres a gem that give true phys or magic I wouldn't be surprised if they go up more

@@rtaylor5481 yea if Ruby's stay the same from what we saw that would be wild. Gems that add mheal onto rings and amulets will certainly be higher priced too.

The gems that give max health are going to be the most expensive the uncommon ones might been 100+ but also gems drop pretty frequently.

also i would say invest in BIS items everything is undervalued(true damage rings), also cyclops rags they start at 50g at the start of wipe and jump to 800 when brave hunter's drop

Cyclops rags are definitely a sleeper crafting reagent that pays off, I remember selling two pairs of brave hunters for 15,000 - 20,000 each the day the craft dropped because I got lucky on rolls.

they did not reduce the supply of gold coin bags by 900%, 1/9 of a value is not a 900% reduction of the original value, that's not how math works, the percentage reduction of the quantity is represented by the expression 100-(1/9)=x where x is the percentage the value was reduced by. oh, and the new gold coin bag recipe at the leatherworker vendor doesnt use troll pelts, it's old cloths, bowstrings, and bat wings.

I'd be worried about investing in consumables. Given what they said about it being annoying to restock them for arena, I could see a world where they make it so that you keep all consumables you bring in, even if they aren't minted. Or maybe just the 1x1 consumables.

Yea they plan on having them stay in your inventory if they are unused, even if win/lose. The major takeaway is that high grade consumables can be the difference of wining or losing in arena, so those who wish to get the rank of Warlord (max rank) and also claim any rank rewards will likely spend thousands on consumables.

@zeplore8491 oh, yeah just realized I wrote the wrong thing. I'd be worried about the possibility of them making it so that consumables in the arena aren't actually consumed, and they repsawn in your inv once you're out of the match. Not that I'd bet on it happening, but its something I think they could do.

My personal plan is to farm Spectral Knight personally. I believe it will be one of the least contested easy access bosses in the early wipe and will allow me to gather good gems quickly and stock up on spectral fabric while also playing the market game early. Much less people know spectral knight than troll for example so it will be free gains for the beginning, and pretty time efficient unlike doing wyvern or going into inferno or even waiting to fight lich. Banshee will also likely be very uncontested, perhaps even less so but far less rewarding until she has a solid boss drop.

Best flip i ever did was during season 2 i was collecting trolls bloods for fun at the time a pelt was 5k every time id sell one id buy all trolls bloods which were 300-450 gold at the time after doing this for 2 weeks pelts dropped to 2k each and trolls blood was 1500+ each didnt even do it on purpose. Also got a pestilence with god rolls in gc and 2 gccs along the way the pest sold for 12 sks which were 32k at the time i kept the gccs they were 3-4sk then.

Ever since the loot buff there has been a minimum of 1-2 shadow nerfs. I found 2 uniques in icy abyss in one run with original buff. The past two months of playing daily I haven't found a single unique. The loot was nerfed incredibly hard and it's strange they don't even mention it in patch notes. So buff loot by100%(random made up numbers) then shadow nerf it by 90%. it's almost like they want people to be happy off a placebo effect. Yes the loot is buffed from before but not nearly as much today as it was.

if they just nerf druid panther/bear damage/scaling, wizard spell damage and longbow damage ill be happy. removing treant, dreamwalk, and shapeshift mastery is a plus. the class druid is cancer to the game. I was hoping sorcerer would not have a summon "rock golem", but guess the devs really like stupid door plays

Kr time, it could very well be as early as like 11pm Tuesday NA time. I recall they had a similar thing happen this current wipe, where the actual wipe day was a whole day before what was announced.

If I have 9 bags, and I go from 9 bags to 1 bag, my bag count has decreased by 88.89%, not 90% as you snidely attempt to allude to. NOW if I had 10 bags, and my bag count has gone to 1, that would in fact be a 90% decrease in bags. Lol. bro , this game is about having fun. Not spending 1500 gold just to speculate on some items is just terrible. Ive never done that , right now i have all chars full stash full items around 30 bags and 20 chest. and still i cant spent it all. the most important thing in DND is space for your loot. It was so easy now to make gold this season ,next one will be to. We dont need a bunch of newer players following advices on how to hoard and speculate on items .

You have that much gold and chests only because you are very good at pvp. Most casual players aren't even close to be able consistently kill players in HR and have 30k gold from each looted kit. So they need these advices how to make gold by brain, not skill

@@MrPendalv I made a lot in pvp last season because the droprate and gold from loot was just horrible. Thise season i learned all the bosses. For example I got a chestpiece and a weapon from " NORMAL" troll +pelt on my first run after the big patch when they increased the droprate. So i got 10 K in one run in normal goblincave with my squire gear... thats just insane compared to before . TLDR : It has never been easier to get money ingame from loot.
