I can’t uninstall those Mcafee programs from task manager. I get that same window you got saying “The operation could not be completed”. When I hit ok they don’t uninstall. I wish you didn’t just go past that part and explain what that window message means. However the second thing you suggest about going into the windows settings and turning off the notifications for whatever was the program app causing it did work. However I just don’t want it to stop popping up I want it off my computer.

Good afternoon can I please ask a Microsoft Surface 4 laptop does it have a built-in antivirus protection as standard as I’m sure I’ve seen Windows protection, and if so, can I still add a McAfee antivirus? do I need to uninstall any other protection that may be on there and if so how would I find that out? It could be only my imagination but I have this pop-up from McAfee popping up on my home page. so far I've managed to get rid of it but it only comes back in about an hour. Personally, I will never put McAfee on my computer again, I had it once long ago. This machine is new yet somehow it keeps coming back. If these guys are so hard up that they need to take my computer hostage, I will definitely never buy another product from them again.
