I used: 3 tbsps honey 3 tbsps olive oil 3 tbsps natural yogurt 1 egg yolk (Mixed together) I distributed it evenly on my hair, left it in for half an hour and then washed it out with shampoo and conditioner and my hair is now really smooth and healthy!!

GUYS PLEAAAASSEEE READ THIS!!! ITS SO IMPORTANT!!! So, when I saw the banana mask, my little dumb*** thought that you can just mash up the bananas by hand, then add the olive oil. Well, I was wrong. OH SO VERY WRONG!! YOU *MUST MUST MUST* PURÉE THE BANANA IN A BLENDER! NOTHING. ELSE. IF YOU MASH IT BY HAND, THERE WILL BE LOTS OF CHUNKS OF BANANA. You guys, pleeease blend the banana. Don’t try to mash the banana up by hand. This is what happened to me: First I mashed up the banana by hand. (Stupid mistake) I added the olive oil and mixed it. When it was time to shower, I put most of it in patches throughout my hair. Got in the shower and ATTEMPTED to rinse it out. It. Did. Not. Come. Out. I was rinsing it with super hot water and only parts of it came out. Little to none. I was freaking out. I tried lots of shampoo but that did not do the trick. By the time I got out, my hair was still covered in banana. I tried a thin-toothed comb, but that only got out a little.. Anyways, I clogged both my bathtub and sink drain, had banana chunks in my hair, and looked humiliating.. Well, blow drying your hair seemed to do the trick. Guys, ALWAYS. BLEND.YOUR. BANANA.

I used to futz around with DIYs as well. My days of experimenting are over, though. It was just "too much". Now I just get a store-bought mask for about €6 at the most, or I double condition (apply first conditioner, let sit 2 min., rinse, apply second conditioner, let sit 2 min., rinse). It works wonders!

Just be careful on how much oil you put in. Curly hair is dryer and absorbs it more. On straight hair it can make it greasy this happened to my friends.

NatDoesStuff Dang use it on the tips of your hair, then tie it in a bun on the top of your head. my hair is also straight long and thick and i do not put much oil on the roots. you can use yoghurt on them

This week I did a banana mask, and after I get out of the shower feeling fancy about my hair I took the brush and brushed my hair..then I looked at the brush and it was FULL OF BANANA CHUNKS!! then I took a shower again :( put the banana in a blender, because I blended the banana with a fork and it looked so liquid, but as I said above that my hair was full of banana chunks :)
