I’m from Houston by birth. Had a dermatologist there named Milton Moore. African American as am I. He has an amazing line of products that along with daily close shaving resolved the issue for me. I could finally be clean shaven and look great and feel comfortable in my own skin.

@@DrJohnBarbieri I’ve grown my beard out now. But when I was shaving it was the Moore unique razor rash relief. There was a shave gel and a toner as well that helped with scarring.

Would a hypochlorous acid spray help?

Since it is more of a mechanical than bacterial issue in most cases, hypochlorous acid spray might not be expected to be very helpful.
