You’ve gotten me hooked on DE safety razor shaving this past year, Ohio! I keep ordering different stainless razors and soaps to try, picked up the Simpson T3 knot, a nice porcelain bowl for creams, a stainless bowl for soap pucks, many aftershaves, and I have quite the stockpile of different blades! I rant straight to Amazon once I heard Gillette was shutting down their Russia operations. I even snagged some Thayer’s to apply after alum block and before aftershave. It sounds funny, but I now get excited at the ritual of shaving. Probably a $250 investment full up at this point, but well worth it! I love the videos! No clue how I stumbled across your channel, but your instruction and personality keep me coming back whenever I see a new post!

I've tried putting Thayers in a mister and started lightly misting my face with it. I've started using it as a daily face rinse and not just after shaving. It works great! I get that cool freshness and skin tightening every day now. It really helps you wake up in the morning.

Can’t stress enough how much this channel videos helped. Used to shave with braun series 9 always got nasty ingrown hairs. Shifted to DE razors first two shaves were horrible 😅 i used king c gillette and wrong angle. But with merkur 34c and astra its soo awesome now. No irritation no ingrown for 2 weeks now

Good video . I’m glad to see u use the syntesi as. I have the same razor and it’s my favorite one by far. I love coupling that razor with either a persona comfort coat or a feather. Also I switched the toner from thayers to Humphrey with cucumber and it’s all natural and wow it’s a big upgrade. Goodfellas also makes a great shave balms I highly recommend trying. But thank u so much for your straight forward reviews. Your videos got me into wet shaving.

Yes hope to see u try in one of your KZbin videos. I always watch your videos every week . The Humphrey is natural and u will get the scent of the fresh witch hazel because it’s not blended with a bunch of other chemicals. U will feel it working on your skin as well. I love it a lot. I do like the thayers but I try to go with natural products as much as possible . I believe that’s one of the big reasons wet shaving is superior to cartridge not just for the quality of the razors and blades but the products we use after the fact make a huge difference in the outcome of the shave .

Thanks for another great video Ohio Shaves. I really like my Rockwell 6S. But I was looking for something with a smoother finish and a lower profile - oh, and no blade tabs sticking out of the sides. This looks like it might just be the key. You indicated that it shaves around four or five as compared to the Rockwell 6C. That probably works for me as I am typically using the 4 plate on my 6S. I was debating getting a Rex Envoy, but after your video comparing it with the 6S I concluded that I already had the better razor of the two. (But the Envoy looks really nice)

@OhioShaves2 ай бұрын
Cameras and editing. I spent about 40 hours editing my videos. What you see is a week behind what is actually shot on camera. A ton of work goes into this channel. I just don't point and shoot off my iPhone. I've got about $15,000 invested in computer, software, Music rights, lighting, microphones, sound cameras and the lenses they go with them. I'm a Sony guy so I shoot Sony cameras and GM lenses. I've grown from zero to over 13,000 subscribers in two years. All the money have made I've pretty much poured back into my channel because I think this is gonna be a long time gig for me which I can actually retire on. I'm honest and give true reviews. So many manufacturers send me razors and other things they want to push and I let them know off the get-go that if your product does not meet my standards, I will not shoot a video on it to your end just because I don't like it. My goal is to get people to switch from Razors to safety Razor shaving just for the simple fact to save money if you don't go down the rabbit hole, which we all can do that but at that point, it's a Hobby. I have other hobbies that cost me way more than shaving with a safety razor, Golf to mention. I actually enjoy what I do and I think it shows in my videos and that's why I have over 300,000 views every month which is unheard of for someone with 13,000 subscribers. There's no other wet shaver on KZbin that gets as many views as me every month. Irene supreme, and that's why, the bigger channels try to follow what I do. Which is great because I'm actually good friends with all of them and they felt me out through my journey. The greatest thing is I don't own a online store so I only push products. That actually makes sense.

It's good but comfort coats are a good base for a medium aggressive blade. I've been using the Accu Forge blades that are a little more on the aggressive side. They seem to have a very smooth affect on my skin and a little more efficient than the comfort coats.
