Here is a recipe you might try and it can be washed through the roots. I use it myself. 1/4 cup of teatree and peppermint soap, 1 cup of alcohol and a 1tablespoon of peroxide. Add it to your container no bigger than 1 gallon and spray them to kingdom come. Don't wash it off the leaves but rinse the roots. You have to keep doing this with aphids because they love new growth. I had to spray my Hoyas several times this Summer but it wipes them out in less than 24 hours.

I have spider mites on 2 of my philodendron, can’t remember the variety name around the time of Hurricane Helene in the states. I drenched it with rain water but I need to use some neem oil when I get back home.

That's a great update 👏🏼👏🏼 I'm going to try using some of my parrot's miticide on my indoor plants in the bungalow. The first tester plant will be my Calathea warscewickzii as that thing is a constant spidermite magnet. You can guarantee that as soon as the central heating goes on, they will come out in force....even with a humidifier! Enjoy the rest of your weekend 🤗

Yes it’s like the spider mites live dormant in the leaves 😂 and come out in the right conditions.

@Gkrissy Exactly right 😂 You can guarantee I'll unfurl the new leaf, and the little blighters will be right there laughing in my face 🤣

Thank you for this. The best find for me after the aquarium water conditioner I use to water the plant. Love it.
