i just tried flexirods for the first time and ended up with the shirley temple curls, but once i combed it out a little i got the waves i desired. thanks for the tip about twisting the hair as you wrap, i will be sure to try this out tomorrow night!

Gorgeous waves! I use flexi-rods on occasion as well, and yes, you're right; if you roll it with the flexi-rods, you end up with 'Shirley Temple curls'...lol! I am definitely going to try this method. Thank you!

You can use foam wrap lotion on dry hair to make the hair damp.The foam wrap lotion will give you a soft and bouncy curl. And in my opinion the curl seems to last a little longer with the lotion. Also the wrap foam lotion doesn't leave product build up on the hair. I hope this helps :)

i love the curl but have a theory that the weight of the rods makes ones roots lay flat against your head wondering if you could wind each section once or twice around a velcro/foam roller THEN do all the steps you mentioned to get curl + volume Im trying it myself tomorrow....
