1. I couldn't see in MCC website for the requirement of IT returns. Is it required from 2024? 2. I want to participate in NRI and deemed seats both. During registration of choice filling which category I have to choose, is it Indian or NRI? During neet registration I was mentioned Indian as nationality. 1. Check the prospectus of some of the deemed universities. You will find it. That's what I said in the video also. 2. If you have registered as an Indian, you need to first convert your status to NRI. MCC will release a notification for you to send supporting documents to their email. Only when they accept your documents, will you get NRI option.

@@sukantasona2000 once you converted to NRI status, you will be eligible for government colleges, deemed seats and NRI seats in MCC. Only drawback is you won't be eligible for any community reservation or minority reservation. Of course, this conversion will affect your status in WB. You will be eligible only for NRI seats (as per last year's prospectus). Please confirm this as I am not very familiar with WB counseling.

Passport is sufficient. But, some clerk (who does not know anything) will just go through the checklist and ask for a relationship affidavit. You cannot convince him. Its better to play safe rather than getting stressed out at the time of admission. I know a parent who traveled nearly 500 kms (250 kms up and down) to get a conduct certificate from school (even though TC clearly showed the conduct).

Sir, 1. if a father is sponsoring his child, then an affidavit with child passport where father name mentioned, is enough as relationship certificate or we have to obtain from Tahsildar separately. 2. Also i have the NRI certificate issued by embassy with daughter name as well which should be acceptable as relationship certificate. Please advice whats acceptable.

1. An affidavit is sufficient. No need to approach the Tahsildar. 2. Its better to get a separate relationship certificate. Some, useless fellows will just follow the checklist and insist on the relationship certificate. They won't think logically. Its safe to keep more documents.

Go for the NRI quota in R1. If you don't get a seat in R1, you can try in R2. Only NRI seats that remain unalloted in R1 (basically, no NRI wants those seats) will be converted to NRI lapsed in R2.

Hi I made all the NRI documents except the embassy certificate because my sponsorer is in India and he will fly back to the US on 10th July then after 8 days he will get it from the embassy. So at the time of emailing MCC for conversion soft copy and online copy will work? At the time of reporting we will get hardcopy through FedX. What the chances for me in 1 st round what are the dates for nri document up losing for round 1 ? If not 1st is it safe to go in 2nd round for me because till then I will get my hard copy in hand!
