What should an NRI student (who did 12th from abroad) opt in nationality (Indian or NRI), if his score is high (630 or above), and wants to get a seat in government college/deemed college in normal fee like resident Indian? If that NRI student (who applied as Indian in Neet application) converts his nationality to NRI, will he be eligible for general seat in government colleges in normal fee due to his high score, or will b eligible for only NRI quota seats of that govt. college?

You can choose NRI category. NRIs are eligible for NRI seats as well as general category seats. But, NRIs cannot get any reservation like OBC, SC, ST or Muslim minority.

If you have registered as NRI in NEET application or you have applied for NRI conversion, you will be treated as an NRI in MCC counseling. Please understand that an NRI is eligible for both NRI seats and general category seats in MCC counseling.

Yes, it's possible. But, it's not advisable. Why not convert to NRI before round 1 itself? Then, fill only general category in round 1. If you don't get a seat, fill general category and NRI category in round 2.
