Uhm... The way I interpret the first Simulation with the Collisions would indicate the Flutes too being too short to cut the full depth of the Contour Operation regardless of the Tool Stick Out. Unless the Tool has a Relief Cut to deal with that then the Shaft will rub/smear against the remaining uncut Material regardless of how many Depth Passes will be made once it has gone past the length of the Flutes.

Why not use Manufacturing Model instead of Derive? Perhaps harder to add the vice, but isn't there other ways to do that?

I want to use my old way of doing 2D drawings with pencil and paper for drafting as input. Then have fusion 360 render it as a 3d object. Then have the output saved in stl. I don't want to learn all the complicated loft, revolve, etc stuff which Autodesk keeps changing each month and I can never figure out. I know it works because draftsman and engineers use this for manufacturing for 100s of years. It's easy, because it had to be since it was pen, paper. And it's portable because that method has been used for all kinds of documents and manufacturing. So how do I do this easier way in Fusion 360? 360

You got me, I get to tutorial #3 and magically there is a data panel "A1 Design" with a tool holder and other miscellaneous docs/ Trying to follow this tutorial, by doing it, is really difficult if you parts just suddenly appear from nowhere.

Why derive the part? I thought the whole premise of fusion, was to use the manufacturing in the same file and the ability to use manufacturing environment and models? I’m confused 🫤

For me, personally, this gives the best of both worlds. I get access to all the powerful modeling tools and maintain and assoitive link to the design. I did a video a few years ago on this topic.
