Scott’s best tip ever. Forgot how to do it in 2025 and rewatched. Thanks.

Yes! a welcome change. FYI the histogram is back for the curves filter. I think it was only missing in the windows initial version of '24.

Yes, I am doing exactly the same as you. :-) Pretty good responsiveness from ON1. 🙂

Thanks for sharing this feature Scott! I think I’m a nest and auto collapse kind of guy. Glad to have it out of the way! Cudo’s to On1.

Give us long-time users the ability to go back to the much more readable and user-friendly 2023 UI. The tiny icons in masking for invert, copy, etc. are difficult to use compared to the larger buttons with text.

Well it's about time they makes. Hopefully they make more changes soon.

Thanks again, Scott. Nesting preference didn't carry forward from 2024.5 version to 2025.🙄

Thank You Scott, new update and you show us how to use it within a half hour Perfect...

LOL, you have shown us exactly how I had intended to use the property dialog (free auto-collapse). However, after couple of hours using it this way, one thing became apparent. When adjusting the slider, if your mouse (or whatever other pointing device you are using) accidentally move too far left or too far right, the property dialog collapses. It may not sound much but when playing with those sliders, I stop looking at the dialog and focus on the effect on the image. 100% of the time, I hover away :(. It'd be nice if while adjusting the sliders, the auto-collapse be inactive. Anyhow, I'm back at nesting the property dialog until I find a workaround. Whether using nesting or free auto-collapsing, this is indeed a huge improvement. Thank you so much for sharing.

Oh… that’s interesting about the slider movement. Thanks for highlighting that.

Hi Scott, one of the ways I use the floating window, which I like a lot, is by hiding both side panels to only reveal the floating window. It’s even better now with auto hide. In full screen, I basically see the whole image on my laptop. - Jerry

Very nice!

A If you have dual screens can the floating window be moved to the second screen?

An improvement, but I'd still prefer a return to the masking menu / toolbar we had in 2023 - it simply worked, required less mouse movements and clicks and therefore had a better and faster work flow.

Thanks, I'm just about to run the update too. Any clue as to why the On1 message tells us that this update isn't available through the new version update in the app itself?
@ScottDavenport Жыл бұрын
No idea on the in-app update.

My copy of ON1 has been updated as of yesterday, but when I go to windows the "show properties" does not have a drop down to select nesting etc.?????
@ScottDavenport11 ай бұрын
For reasons I don't know, the 2024.1 update did not come via the in-app 'Check for updates'. You should have received a notice from ON1 with a download link. If you already have 2024.1... I have no explanation. That's a question for ON1 to answer.

Hay Scott. There’s no properties under the Window tab, indeed the window tab is completely different than yours

HMMM I have 2024 Max and it still shows "no update available"? Photoshop set the maxim for this; why not a dockable window? It's not like it's a new tech or anything.

From the email announcement of the update: "Important note: this update will NOT appear in the in-app auto-update dialog." You need to download it and install it yourself.
