Thank you!! Yeah they are growing fast now. Nepenthes tend to start slow and then pick up speed. I’m going to need a bigger one soon, lol!!

​@@CarnivorousplanthelpI got a purple with spotted pitchers from kennykoogan site recently. He did an import sale, but I don't see any listed now. Cook's Carnivores did a import sale awhile back and they had Green wavy leaf with spots.

Nice!! I think Carnivero has some but I might have to check out Kenny. He is only about an hour away from me. He has a lot of awesome plants and does great work with ICPS!

Love to see all the trunc hybrids. I’m really a sucker for truncata. Planning on moving my trunc hybrids out of my growtent for the warmer temps. I love the Hiroshima! Some truncata on my grow list is Hiroshima, HLR, and C. But it’s going to be a while.

Yes! I love Truncata so much and hope to get many more. Carnivero has a ton of amazing Truncatas right now!!

@@Carnivorousplanthelp yeah. I like the large trunks with the rich striping. It’s actually kinda hard to find still in cultivation. You see wild ones with amazing shape, size, and coloration, but by no means do I ever want to encourage the harvesting of wild plants and seeds. Part of this hobby is about conservation and appreciation for these plants. Sp1 also seems like an interesting plant. I could probably get one, but I want to keep money around if something amazing comes up.

I love the SP1. It is one of those plants that just keeps going. The pitchers (none of which I bar at the moment) get huge but they are paper thin. Very interesting species. Yeah that is true there are some Truncata in the wild with amazing stripes. That’s why I love the Truncata x Merr hybrids. It pulls those peristomes out but leaves the bodies a very muted color!

My Truncata and Truncata hybrids hate me. My Truncata Pasian Red and Truncata x Boschiana haven’t gotten any bigger since march but put out leaves pretty quickly, they are all just the same size as the previous. The only Truncata hybrids I have that do well are Boschiana x (Truncata x Campanulta) and Tiveyi x Truncata ‘Titan’. My Robcantleyi hybrids do great though and leaf jump consistently. Is there anything specific that highland Truncata hate? My temps are mid-high 70’s day and low 60’s at night (dropping down to mid-low 50’s at night in winter but my Pasian Red Truncata hasn’t experienced that yet).

My miranda kinda hates me too and doesn’t like to pitcher on its main growths but plants like my Jamban do great lol

Umm that sounds like good temps to me for them. They could stand a little warmer and you would see fast growth but not too far off. As long as humidity stays around 70-75 as well. They can grow with less, just will take a little longer

That’s interesting, Miranda is a much easier grower than Jamban. It might have to do with the night temp drops. I will say though I have an enormous Miranda and it goes through spurts of not making pitchers for a while too.

@@Carnivorousplanthelp yeah that’s why it’s really weird because my conditions are on point for everything else (Jamban, Veitchii, Tiveyi, Lowii hybrids, etc) my miranda pitchers like crazy on its basals but i haven’t gotten anything bigger than a few inches. it just refuses to pitcher on the main vine. my Pasian Red though hasn’t grown out of an XS size since I bought it in march. it does pitcher but not really big enough to fit anything into. maybe I’ll try spraying Maxsea on it and see what happens. I’m an experienced grower but it’s weird that my two theoretically easiest plants are my most problematic plants

That is strange. However, Ihave had several plants that should be easy growers too but for some reason took forever to get out of that first stage. I have one Truncata hybrid that hasn’t grown a millimeter since I got it about 4 months ago. I am curious if it is just a genetics things with certain plants and then taking longer than others. I have had some too that took forever but once the started they took off.
