Hello everybody! So for a lot of people it seems you can't summon your spirits to help with the fight. I've found that this is a pretty common problem amongst a LOT of people. There might be a few things to check first; A) make sure you've activated the summon stone at the beginning of the cave. B) make sure you have enough FP available to actually summon C) make sure you've rested at a lost grace before you summon again. D) it could be a potential glitch in the game, unfortunately the only workaround I've seen is to reboot your system and try again. I hope that helps 🍻

A tip for players who don't want to invest in intelligence and faith (24 each) for the sword of night and flame: use running attacks and jump attacks to break the stance of the knights. Then you can go in front of them and riposte. And distract the second knight with the wolves only when it spawns to preserve the wolves' health.

this is my first soul game and it always took me a lot of times before i defeat any bosses. in this boss fight i summon the dogs to distract the spear one then i target the range one first after i kill it the other one can be taken down easily.

Listen the most amazing thing about elden ring is you have a choice. There are so many types of spirits to summon. I recommend looking for a famous one that costs alot of FP. Ones that use ghostwarts to level up.

The enemies outside Stormveil gate area drop a dagger which allows you to quickstep forward in the direction you are facing. for me it was easier than back-stepping!!

My only other From Software game has been Bloodborne, and I can't stop playing this one. The fact that it is a complete game, with 0 microtransactions or pay to win features, makes me very impressed with the game. On top of that, it's an open world... WITH STUFF IN IT! I'm ecstatic that everything feels carefully and meaningfully placed, with actually interesting NPC's. And I'm so relieved that I don't have to go through the entire map to find a bunch of collectibles as a way of convincing me to keep busy with a big open world map. The game has some issues for sure, but the community has been so awesome in progressing together that I've never really felt lost in the game. But that's just my 2 cents lol

Well put together Video! thanks! However, one of the problems with this cave is that it's not always that easy to just run past everything. The scarlet rot is nasty and takes forever to dissipate, but so is the poison spells the enemies inside shoot.. and not always is it easy to run through the enemies and not get hit by their poison spell.. the poison spell seems to be worse then the scarlet rot..as it takes forever for the poison to dissipate.. unless you have consumables to help- you'll burn up all your health potions just to stay alive.. and when you do make it to the mist wall.. guess what? you get to face 2 nasty knights with no health potions! and as a note to those who don't have the best stats or weapons: those knight bosses are no joke in fact, they can be a royal pain in the butt.. especially if you don't have leveled spirits or enough potions to survive.. then you die- then you have to go all the way back and run the cave again. just saying.. it would have been nice if these trouble spots were mentioned to give a better idea for first timers: bring plenty of anti- scarlet rot and anti-poison consumables! maybe even use the fungal armor set here.

You literally can just run past everything, you just need to know exactly where you're going and completely avoid combat. As in COMPLETELY, not stopping to kill random rats and mushroom soldier guys. You won't do it first try, so just keep at it until you learn the layout of the cave and eventually the route you need to take will become clear. The bosses on the other hand, they are a problem if you're low level, despite everyone saying they're easy. EDIT: The fungal armor set is not at all necessary, just backdash through the first part and then avoid stepping in the scarlet rot for more than an instant on your way to the fog door. Also, preserving and neutralising boluses shouldn't be necessary if you do it right. Bring them anyway, but you won't need them unless something goes wrong. As for the twin Cleanrot Knights, as long as you have the wolves summon, you're in with a chance. Focus on the first knight and take him down with backstabs as quickly as you can, then focus on the second. Hopefully by the time he takes out your last wolf he's nearly dead and you can take out the last bit of his health yourself.

Additionally the sword of Night and Flame was debuffed with 1.03. That sword is also INT 24 FAI 24. Not an insignificant detail. Most players at lower level will enter will Rock Sling and Pebbles which makes this a different fight. YEMV. I find a lot of guides skip telling what level they are, what weapons and talismans they have which leads to a bit of frustration when players try to replicate what they have seen.

@@m2ark8611 exactly.. because with the higher level, weapons and talismans (and let's not forget extra potions and potion power and memory slots!) it may just be a tad bit easier to stroll through. I'm still finding my sword of night and flame to be very potent even in patch 1.03. as it is a +6, and it certainly hits harder then the +5 lazuli glintstone sword, like with stealth kills for example.

Wow, what an easy fight… for magic users, for melee its infuriating. Good guide though. If the spear guy hits you with his charge youre instantly dead basically because it instantly applies rot and does the majority of your health, just gotta get lucky.

So the blast and the fire are not spells, but weapon skills. It comes with this sword called 'The Sword of Night and Flame' It's my personal favorite weapon of the game so far and it's super easy to get. There's actually a video on my channel on how to get it if you're interested The spell that skill mimics is called 'Azur Comet' though

Yeah, those guys are tough. I'm using the sword of night and flame, the 'spell' is just the skill that comes with it. There's a guide to get it on my channel. I've found that a bleed build works well on these guys too

If you roll in the rot it will continue to increase the bar. You can't roll through hazards in elden ring like you can in souls or bloodborne

So you need a faith and intelligence stat of 24 to use the sword, but its awesome. There's a detailed guide on my channel on how to get it. And they come pretty close. You can change the stat that most weapons scale off of, but not this one. It's really strong though, even after the update

Thats fair,, these guys are tough. But you can also go get the second uchigatana, do the Boulder farm for awhile and come back to it. You can also use multiplayer summons. Might make it better for you
