Really considering this dd2 wheel, as I have bought into the eco system. Hearing mixed reviews , and alot of people have highlighted the turning software which hasnt released yet

i feel that the minimum requirements for wheel tuning are met without the software. Hopefully some additional features come with it but more than good enough even with out

As a DD2 owner I'm telling you right now. If I could do it all over again Id get a SimuCube 2 Pro. I'm soooo unhappy with the DD2. I should have bought the SimuCube 2 Pro, sold my three Fanatec wheels and put that into a decent wheel and QR. Over the last two months I've heard mixed reviews about the Podium wheels. Some really like it, others like myself are really unhappy. Since the new SimuCube has released I haven't heard a single bad thing about. Especially regarding performance.

I’ve done your complete video and I like it a lot!; the main clue; turn all side effects off and regulate FFB in game... Natural friction and dampers only decrease the actual feeling of the car; first try the wheel was blown out of mij hands; So I decreased the main from 40 to 30... still sufficiënt; I’m only looking for ways to have a bit more friction at verry low speeds I can’t imagine a real formula car with big wheels has So less resistance in steering... And Another question; sometimes the wheel gives a big bang; does anyone know What this is?. Beside I would like Some vibrating of the rim when the wheels slip... but as in the video it’s my personal preference; Thank you for explaining!..

Thanks for this yet another informational video. I like how you describe every effect and what they do.. Subbed :) By the way, have you noticed that the DD1 becomes un-smooth after an extensive session with AC? Like, if you've driven for say one hour on and off with switching cars and tracks and then exit the game. Mine cogs after a while and when I turn the wheel a round it's not smooth any more. It has 11 steps from 12:00 clock and all the way around (Hard to explain).. It's like belt resistance, only far bigger intervals. As if there were 11 magnets around which is activated and trying to get a hold on the wheel.. But if I restart the wheelbase, it becomes smooth again.. I'm on 352 and 669

I don't have the BFR brake force option on my wheel setting. Using DD1, V3 pedals and Formula Carbon. Using driver 356.

@@SmokeyStoner i recommend contacting fanatec. I have heard of similar issues with other tuning menu options not showing resulting in an RMA....now that fanatec chat is gone I am not sure what the best way to reach them is...chat was by far the best in my experience....

Really good. But DD Wheels shouldn't have any minimum force and should always be left at 0. DD wheels by nature don't have any dead zone which needs to be eliminated by the min force setting.

While I would normally tend to agree with that, minimum force does help with lower felt forces. Just makes them a little stronger. It's all personal preference in the end though!

minimum force and deadzone are 2 different things. Deadzone relates to actual steering inputs, minimum force provides amplification of very small FFB effects. In my opinion at 0% minimum force the wheel is too light when traveling straight / neutral steering position

Thank you for sharing your settings i wanted to ask about using soft lock in AC in game settings because when i use it and turn the wheel to full lock it jolts violently which makes me turn it off . i usually don't need to turn the wheel to full lock but some times it happens especially if i spin out and want to make a full turn .

@@2Old4Forza happy to join the stream i noticed something when teasing the soft lock is that it works fine with cars with 900-700 rotation but the effect happens with cars like GT3 and F1 that has a small wheel rotaion .

So I just wanted to share something odd with AC and ACC, I had been able to use Auto SEN up until last night, when I noticed something was very off and sure enough I had to manually put a value for max wheel rotation on the DD base to match in game. Just something to look for!What rotation do you recommend running on a formula size rim such as in video, sorry if I missed it? Do you recommend 1080 for round rim, that is what I used and felt good in ACC.

I use 1080 for non race cars I let AC automatically set the degrees of rotation per car after matching my wheel sen to the number in game. For ACC I run 300*

First off im sry about my text I have phone issues so my punctuation is a problem bro I was just tslking with you in chat thenother day about the dd1 I had no idea you had a channel lol cant wait to get this wheel some people seem to be having issues setting it up but I love these man and fnaatec and there feel I get you can get oscxliations but there are ways around that but I will say I enjoy more feel on straights I feel more attached but yeah people are like stay awya fron dampening on a dd wheel and its like dude stop saying that it makesno sense games epriod have issues eith low drag wheels so telling people to stay away from dampening makes jo sense I also tell people to realize other conpanies have dampening added into there software on the the wheel automatically thats why soen od the other dd wheels dont have osccialtions because they already have some dampening built in when playing when its engaged nobody will believe that but its true because of you have none every wheel will od that its a fact because the agmes have issues fully aupporting them the right way people are getting confused and man its like death if you touch dnapening when in fact you need some they have so much detail and feel losing a little isnt bad and fei lower is amazing because it makes the ffb smoother and it feels great and it gives wway unwanted effects I actually like my fei lower because of how smooth it is but to each there own and ive noticed fei doesnt work the same on different updates the newedt one it feels grest on the one before it felt like shit I like a smoother ffb feel I juat love the way fanatrc ffb feels idk why I just do and nothing ive tried gives me that attached feleing I like feeling more on the straights not to much of course but yeah amazing stuff and people also have to realize this is the first dd wheel motor that was made specifically for sim racing so it will take time for them to get the software just right soon it will be there and see the dampening didnt hurt it to much thats my point people dont understand ive used the semucube2 and the dd1 and dd2 literally have more feel without dampening on so turning it on rvens it out and I will say I dont use the in game filters and fnastec tells you not to you should use the setting son your wheel and thats another thing people are putting settinga way way to hgih in gamea and not messing with the wheel fanstec tells you to do it the other way lower in game higher on wheel some dampening to me is fine feal a Real wheel in real life it isnt crazy free flowing

I’m having trouble with isolations with my new dd1 & v2 wheel can’t find the problem in fanalab 1.23 beta rev’s are going nutz can you help?its on a new pc upgrade from PS4 & don’t have a clue on how to run a Windows gaming pc it seams like a fanalab software issue I’ve only got raceroom & rFactor2 & it’s happening on both games whatever the speed

+1 for effort but its not working for me. I really dont understand why running 12nm. Not that i am a pro driver but i like it to be close to how my road car feels (its a sports car). Maybe its just preference i dont know haha. If you want to compare here are my AC settings: SEN: auto FFB:44 SHO:100 ABS: Off FOR:100 SPR: 100 DPR:100 NDP:48 NFR:2 FEI: 90 in game Gain: 60% Kerb: 70% Road:20% Slip:40% everything else on 0% I think for me it can be even more better but i am a bit lazy also.

These settings are specific to race cars with degree of rotation under 540* it should feel. Nothing like a street car. Your setting with the high NDR setting will provide a much smoother feel that's more like a street car

@@2Old4Forza Well what about open wheeler I tried it and it just felt numb and way to heavy for me. I am also talking about sportscar not street car btw. With your settings the wheel flies way to much on its own and due the high torque adjusting /correcting will be way to hard to do and doesn't make sense to me. Ah well as what I said it's prob preference.

As I say several times ffb is very subjective. If the self steer is too strong increase ndr as I suggest in the video. Fanatec recommends ndr at 25.

odd that it defaults to 50 which is definitely too high. best thing I ever did was lower to about 15
