How to Get Gotterdammerung in FInal Fantasy 16. Craft Gotterdammerung and complete the "Blacksmith's Blues" questline to secure Ragnarok, which serves as the foundation for Gotterdammerung. Ragnarok becomes available after the completion of "Blacksmith's Blues IV," so make sure to finish the initial three quests in the series. "Blacksmith's Blues IV" involves a journey to Dravozd to defend against several Akashic waves and a boss that threatens the village. After successfully fending off the invaders, Zoltan and Blackthorne reconcile their friendship, and Zoltan presents you with a seal and a special sword hint. Next, return to the Hideaway and talk to Blackthorne. Together with Zoltan, they will forge Ragnarok. Upon completion of Ragnarok, you'll also get the blueprint for Gotterdammerung. Crafting Gotterdammerung requires Ragnarok, three pieces of Orichalcum, two Darksteel, and one Primitive Battlehorn. While Ragnarok is obtained post "Blacksmith's Blues IV," the rest of the components can be gathered by conquering various Notorious Marks from the Hunt Board. If certain marks are not accessible, advance the storyline a bit and revisit the Hunt Board later. "The Breaker of Worlds" Atlas, a Rank S Notorious Mark located east of Cressida, and "The Tricephalic Terror" Gorgimera, another Rank S Notorious Mark in The Velkroy Desert's southwestern corner, each yield an Orichalcum. Alternatively, you can earn your last Orichalcum by completing either the "Under New Management II" side quest for Isabelle in Northreach or the "Duty Undying II" side quest for Cyril in Tabor. If you prefer, you can also defeat "The Masterless Marauder" Behemoth King, a Rank S Notorious Mark near the Vidargraes Obelisk, to obtain Orichalcum. To collect Darksteel, you must conquer "Usher to the Underworld" Thanatos and "The Grim Reaper" Prince of Death, both Notorious Marks. Thanatos is a Rank A Notorious Mark found in Titan's Wake, while the Prince of Death resides northeast of Westwatch in the Royal Meadows. Finally, defeat Gobermouch, a Rank A Notorious Mark in Eistla, to secure the Primitive Battlehorn.

I have not finished the game and found your video by luck. I have been used Ragnarok for a while now. I got like 40% of the process down but still need to advance more in the story to unlock more hunts. @dogwithsunglasses4051 Each Eikon should change the elements of not just your ranged attack but also the element of your burning sword attack, your lunge, and your downthrust attack. No need for unique weapon powers when your Eikons could do it.

They use alternative names for weapons quite often. In FFX Tidus' celestial weapon, the Caladbolg, is the Welsh way of saying Excalibur.

OP usually means that the gear itself exceeds the current level of the enemies by far, often times eliminating them in a few hits. This ain't it. By the time you get this sword, it's the appropriate attack power for that section of the game.

Thanatos is the Greek “God of Death”, Thanos from Marvel is basically half death (50 percent of the universe). It’s not the other way around. Marvel has nothing to do with FF, FF draws inspiration from history just like you were embellishing the name Gotterdamerung is Ragnarok. Heck when you learn more about Torgal with his powers you get to learn of another wolf that got eikonic powers called Fenrir…you know the wolf that actually brought ragnarok in Norse mythology…there are a million others spread throughout FF16 (and all FF titles to be honest) but I think I drove the point home. Oh and if you think the Greek god of death is Hades, I got some bad news for you, he is the god of the underworld, he is the steward or caretaker of the dead. Religion and history are fascinating. Please look those up, you’ll be pleasantly surprised when you go through FF games later with the knowledge of actual gods from a variety of religions (commonly called mythology now because the Monotheistic religions eradicated the old regions by making it criminal to believe or worship offering conversion or death, and genocides, history is cool).

Kinda unfortunate that you can't get some of the necessary materials until the last mission. I think I'm gonna save some of the other sidequests until I get the sword, that way I can do a lot of content with the best sword in the game. Otherwise you only have it for the last mission.

It has the same model as Ragnarok, the Blade you get from finishing the Blacksmith Side Quests, so this one is purely numbers, and you can do that Questchain quite ahead of the Ending

New game plus will have tougher enemies and higher levels do not skip side missions or hunts level get your skills up it’s like playing dmc you get your skills up to use them on a higher difficulty run

Finally got the sword... unfortunately, there is not a lot left to do in the game at that point. Like 5 or 6 side quests, and the very last mission. Then, at New game+ you get better weapons very fast. So it's kinda disappointing. Also, getting the Ragnarok as early asbpossible makes the Masamune completely useless, which is also a serious flaw in the game design.

There’s a few things I don’t like about ff16. 1. You spend 20% of the gameplay running. 2. Side quest is kinda underwhelming. 3. All the enemies is basically a damage sponge. Thanks for the video this helped me a lot.

@@KirillT14 Sounds more like you aren't using your skills correctly. This is one of those games that reward skill and combos. The enemies are only spongy if your skills are underleveled and your not utilizing them correctly. You can literally stunlock non-story bosses if you know what you're doing THAN melt them with DPS. That being said, not all skills are balanced so the wrong skill can make you feel like a wet noodle at times

no its not enemies have triple hp in final fantany mode. so 700 dmg for ultima weapon does sumilar gott weapon. you talking nonsense. are you destroying any enemies in final fantasy mode nope . plus you get neat end of game and are using gott half of second playthrough. do ultima killing enemies faster nope. maybe few seconds faster qhen going back initial stages. still no one shot kills.

I'm disappointed in the fact that you only get to use the same 4 swing combo and a charge with your sword unless you use the Odin eikon...which is weak as well. U can't win for losing .
