Ok so before anyone does anything with recoil I need everyone to please take into consideration this very important thing that I think is missed: The first 2 shots are directly above each other at base 80 recoil. You can even see it in this video. The visuals of the gun kicks to the right once you shoot the 2nd shot but if you look at where it lands it's right above the first shot, making those first 2 shots much easier to land. Now although the following shots will kick more and more, you can kind of see that its following a pretty similar pattern of 2 shots being more vertical and then kicking to the right after that 2nd shot. It deviates more and more horizontally after the 2nd shot which can make it feel a little awkward in PvE but in PvP, those first 2 shots being completely vertical is important. As long as you take into consideration that nudge to the right on the 3rd shot, it can be very consistent at base 80.

Love the video! You always manage to bring something new to the table with these reviews. Specifically about the Rose comparison: It's a lightweight frame with Slideshot, which dramatically boosts it's range for free more or less and also lets you close the gap far more easily. Definitely think Midnight Coup has some interesting combos, particularly Zen Moment plus Explosive Payload as the ultimate dueling roll. And while the exact amount hasn't been measured, Zen Moment got altered a few months ago to add actually flinch resistance.

I think genuinely the biggest reason for Zen Moment is simply the flinch resistance. It seriously makes such a big difference especially when going against anything explosive payload, like I wish I could use damage perks, but the lobbies that I get just absolutely require only consistency perks. Personally I do not care what handcannons' on paper are better, this thing having 90 aim assist base is just unreal. Feels like OG last word on controller, aiming at shins hittin heads 😎.

For most cases I agree in not liking Kinetic Tremors on a hand cannon, but for Day 1 and other low light activities the perk is a godsend. On my teams day 1 Crota I was using a KT weapon which made dealing with the boomer knights so much easier, as the shots to proc the perk would do about half the health, and the tremors would do the other half. Not sure how good it is on a 140 HC, but I'm for sure going to pick one up just for the possibility.

About the recoil, I actually *prefer* the recoils bouncing to the right. Since the recoil animation bounces up to the right, the recoil bouncing to the right as well means the gun isn’t going to block what you’re shooting at

riptide btw before i begin... the only thing i could possibly say for the pve side would be that if you are going to go with frenzy you might as well pair it with extended mag... and the reason being that you are going to have 100 reload anyways so if you are going that route having just more ammo in the mag can and will save you in certain situations especially the next time that hcs get to be a champ weapon like if they are again unstop or if they become anti-barrier just having the extra few rounds in the mag is just so nice to have and if you feel like thats a little overkill then atleast think about having tactical mag... really on most guns you cannot go wrong in pve with tactical mag regardless of what the rest of the roll looks like cause you get a few extra bullets and also if for some reason you arent maxed out on reload it can help with that small reload boost... just my thoughts but found the rest of the video to be insightful and glad i watched it all the way to the end

Desperate measure is a very slept on perk for specifically punchy Titans. Punchy/bonk Titans typically wear Synthos or Wormgods, your regular punches already bonk most red bars. But sometimes you don't feel like punching things that blow up in your face or it is a little too far away. Then your gun (insert brave gun of choice) can do the rest.

In my experience in PVE with explosive I like Frenzy because it’s the easiest to proc and has, by far, the most uptime for me. I haven’t calculated and filmed myself but I won’t be surprised if I’m always doing way more literal dps with frenzy. (One for all is my least favourite because it’s a pain to keep activated constantly forcing me to aquire targets I don’t want to. You’ve inspired me to try base recoil direction again. Especially because I thought visual and actual was always 1:1! Mind. Blown.

Midnight Coup is my favorite hand cannon thus far. My God roll has Firefly + Rampage... flared mag + chambered compensator... it and The Call are never leave my kinetic slot. Very good hand cannon and my favourite Brave weapon by far. 🍻

A higher number in Recoil Direction isn't always automatically better. 90 is better than 80, but 85 is going to be better than either. You want the second digit of the number to end as close to 5 as possible or 100 max.

I still don’t understand why people think explosive payload is like hitting twice. Grenade launcher direct hits like with edge transit for deconstruction. But if you give it sticky nades you do get two Different hits. Because you’re smacking with the projectile, and then exploding. Explosive payload is just bullet grenades they hit with an explosion, kinetic tremors does attrition orbs because it’s another hit from the weapons dmg.

Honestly the only role i want is explosive payload zen moment (for pvp). Ive gotten like over 10k kills over multiple fatebringer rolls and when using midnight coup for a little bit i just feel like “why wouldnt i just run fatebringer?” And the only roll fatebringer cant get is zen moment ep.

What's funny is that in the real world if you try to shoot like a 44 Mag with mid powder grain loads, you will definitely feel it. Try to shoot it like we do in Destiny and you are all over the place. After 12 rounds, I put it up for the day and my wrist and hand are sore for a few hours. $1.00 per shot. Way cheaper to shoot in Destiny too.

MnK players dont realize how much the aim assist stat matters to the feel of a hand cannon. Higher AA makes it feel like you're shooting cannon balls instead of pellets. I wish more people would try Lumina in PvP and just spend a few games getting used to it. That gun is insane.

I am impressed with this hand cannon in pvp I got a moving target zen moment roll and range is only 55 but even with lower stats it competes very well and usually guns with these stats are pretty bad but this is one of those that stats don’t matter to much. Also I got a pve roll of explosive plus frenzy then a roll with firefly kinetic tremors. Lots of great rolls

Since the rework zen isnt just visual. It always had some bloom mitigation but they added stability and flinch resistance Agree that zen probably isnt the play on Coup, austringer gets better stability and makes up for bad handling with Snap. The damage roll on Coup is what makes it special. And that sound it makes.

Yeah those are great too! I think Firefly and One For All is really fun, and probably the main Lucky Pants roll I'd go for. Moving Target and Zen might be preferable to me to if I wanted to use Zen. I prefer opening shot but I like moving target so much I kind of want it on everything!

You have wrong info on the Time Lost Fatebringer. The damage gets higher than frenzy. My Time Lost Fatebringer has Explosive Payload in the 3rd and I have Firefly or Kill Clip in the 4th. Firefly is crazy fun and what I run most but if I want big damage in PvE or when I’m using it in PvP I switch to Kill Clip. Explosive Payload with Kill Clip will definitely do more damage than EP and Frenzy!! Also, have people not crafted a Doom of Chelchis with Ehanced Explosive Payload and Ehanced One for All?!? I’ve had that combo on that scout for over a year and a half already!! Midnight Coup is not the first gun with this combo!! Love the video though!! Love how much you covered with all the combos!!
