Can confirm Onslaught is flinching the fuck out of people. Got a heal clip onslaught my first drop last week and started winning 1v2s and 1v3s I had NO business even engaging in. I swear there were a few actual 1v2s (like both players engaging) where I’d kill one and the moment I switched to the second, I entirely stopped taking damage

VERY important regarding the passage of persistence: You have to win your first two matches, or your card will become flawed and you won’t get any adepts once you get to 7 wins. I’ve also heard it’s still flawing them regardless at times after 5 wins. Not sure if it’s a bug or what, but I’m restarting my card today to try again.

Got my absolute perfect adept god roll last night (heal clip, onslaught, range mw, extended barrel, ricochet). It simply feels incredible. I also got an adept roll with heal clip and a choice between onslaught and kill clip (full bore, ricochet, stability mw). In being able to try out both perks on exactly the same roll, I really feel like kill clip might be the better perk for trials. Tough to say for sure, cause I’ve only been able to play Cauldron, but it feels pretty difficult to take advantage of onslaught in threes…

I just tried it in pve and I'm absolutely blown away - after my absolutely disastrous time getting Messenger back in season 13, papa Saint blessed me beyond words.

Dont forget you can stack wormhusk and heal clip if you dodge and reload it procs heal clip basically gets all your health back

Spot on review. I have had about 40 Summoners and for PvP I like HC, Zen and Onslaught. Hunting for a Range Masterwork and barrel to accompany it. For PVE, Heal clip and Onslaught is like a healing mini machine gun, too much fun to pass up.

Im on the opposite end of the spectrum- i've settled on heal clip/kill clip in PVP, and heal clip/onslaught in PVE (although i only really play trials and comp, so that affects my choices). The only exception is my Zen Moment/Golden Tricorn roll that I use on my Athrys hunter, because knife go brrrr

The very first Adept Summoner I got rolled Heal Clip + Incan/Onslaught with Smallbore and Flared Magwell. The only real problem is that it had a Handling masterwork which, while normally just fine, is a bit wasted on a weapon archetype that already has good base Handling. That said, I was glad I got both of my PvP and PvE Summoners on the same weapon drop. Running solo in Trials is super-frustrating and I'm glad that Persistence exists now so I can at least "brute force" an Adept drop.

BTW, if you can't or won't farm The Summoner for whatever reason, or you just need more range, take a look at Abyss Defiant from Crota. Same Heal Clip vs Zen Moment choice in column 3, with Sword Logic, Kill Clip, or Swashbuckler in column 4, craftable/enhanceable, very marginally worse TTK. Heal Clip/Swashbuckler is the way IMO, powered melee kill gets you 46.9% extra damage which four taps anyone for 0.5s TTK and throws out a Cursed Thrall explosion for adding insult to injury. Athrys throwing knife build is the obvious choice (Cammycakes runs this sometimes), or Peregrine Greaves or Consecration builds on Sunbreaker, or Karnstein for a crazy snap build. You can also get melee kills decently reliably on certain other subclasses like Shadebinder, but you'd need a source of radiant to hit to 0.5s.

When we are able to enhance these perks, both heal and kill clip get +0.5 to their timers (heal clip before reloading, kill clip after). Zen Moment adds +5 stability, nice but could be better.

played some more trials today with a persistence ticket because i wanted to chill second adept got heal clip+incandescent/onslaught and i'm so so so happy couldn't ask for better and finding out this can get enhanced in final shape is just perfect edit: want to add to the love for the persistence ticket. i don't have to worry about needing to go flawless for the wonderful (adept) tag. i've already got a memento sitting in my pocket, and honestly the latest trials armour looks better when it's not glowing. so now i can chill and get some of the nicest gear in the game. it's so nice

I personally like on those god rolls for pvp, if you go for zen moment go for more range and also you can let go a bit of recoil direction, but if you go with heal clip, it's better to go for recoil direction and a bit more stability to compensate

If you want a 140 Two tap. I use a Ancient Gospel two tap build. Use AG with enh Killclip + enh Rampage. 100 Intellect + Mantle of Battle harmony (for 10 Resil guardians). With the Intrinsic trait activated you can have 4 dmg buffs up at the same time🤣

Just a tip dont go with a pass of persistance if you want to farm yes you get 1 easy asept but once you get 7 wins and your free adept and try farming for more if you lose your pass is broken and you wont be able to get any more rolls. Its better to run a ferocity for farming

I will keep being an advocate for Rain of Fire Boots on Warlock. Looking at Zen Moment, Onslaught. Cause I can keep the gun loaded with Icarus Dash, and keep the Radiant buff with Empyrean after you get the Fusion Rifle Kill. This is such a strong weapon, excited to eventually get the roll. I feel like heal clip with incandescent is definitely the way to go for pve. Sure kill clip is not bad as a neutral game roll but when the sweet sorrow exists with a better frame, origin trait and one for all there is not really a reason to use any other auto for neutral game in comparison. Summoner really is a weapon that performs best when built around as radiant is very abundant in pve and serves as a good enough damage buff to make the gun not feel pathetic against stronger enemies. Not to mention other damage stacking methods like surges, path of burning steps or even wormgods after the buff.

I got a Elemental and Onslaught that with the reloads (solar) melts majors and champs, it is a PVE monster. I was hoping for a Heal clip Onslaught but no dice.

Ok you're really selling me on cascade point right now. I tried it on Randy's Throwing Knife and it is comically fast. So much fun. Perpetualis is next on the list. Also you have the best reviews. @@Legoleflash I think I speak for a lot of your viewers when I say that I legitimately get a little dopamine hit when I see a video notification from your channel. And yeah I'll be farming the prophet after seeing your cascade point roll in this video. Side note: I was using Trinity Ghoul recently and noticed that cascade point triggers if you land all 3 arrows as precision, possibly even 2 arrows, not sure on that. Perks that lower the optimal TTK aren't always better. Onslaught may lower it after some work, but it's not very forgiving like Target Lock (which also pushes your range out).

Yeah that’s exactly why I say it didn’t make a difference for ME, but you’re body shot average (or range as you suggested) might be different than me, but in practice in the real games, the other perks paid off WAY more

Very first roll I got was zen/ onslaught. Just got an adept with dynamic/onslaught. Better stats but I don't think so.....

6 wins out of around 30 matches since going flawless and no drops so much for the 50% drop rate. Also after playing all day today I still have yet to drop a single regular summoner no drops from wins and none from engrams

Yesterday I had my first onslaught x3 in PvP in a 1v3 .... The second and third guy didn't stand a chance. In combination with zen moment they couldn't do anything 😅
