Grinding would be more fun if we got tanks with full upgrade from get go. Playing with stock module is awful for the player, team, and game. Just move all the required xp to the next tank unlock and give us fully upgraded modules from get go.

The game getting harder and harder at higher tiers is something a *lot* of new players don't realize. Especially when they decide to buy a premium T8 in the beginning... WoT at high tiers is hard enough when you don't have the map knowledge or tactical experience, but when you barely know the basics it is just brutal. But i guess they see "bigger numbers = better"... ? One of the reasons high tier is so much more difficult is because it gets slower. DPM-to-HP-ratio gets worse, armor starts to be more useful and higher view range limits the possibiliies of movement/positioning. That means WoT turns from the chaotic DPM-freeforall at lowtier to a much more tactical game at high tier, where every single position and tank starts to matter a lot more. Combine that with usually more experienced players exploiting every single mistake you make and those mistakes usually resulting not just in your but also your flanks anihilation, and you get a pretty hard experience for newer players at high tier. That beeing said, i would recommend a sniping TD line as the first, maybe the soviet Obj 268-line or so. They may not be the most competetive tanks, but the snipy playstyle is good for beginners. You only need to know like 2 positions per map to be somewhat useful, and they allow you to learn the maps and learn how fights usually develope and where tanks usually go. Also you don't have to bother with micro-management that much, which is something a newer player will be hopelesly overwhelmed with. On top of that the usually higher penetration levels of TDs don't require as much knowledge of armor models. Also as a recommendation for new players: Stay out of TX until you get comfortable at lower tiers first. TX tanks are an entirely different experience, since you usually end up in pure TX battles, which play completly different and are a *much* more competetive gold-slugfest (which you won't be able to afford or compete with). I know, its tempting to see those nice numbers and tanks you get at TX, but trust me: It is not worth it for beginners. The game won't just magically get better just because you reached the highest tier, simply because the wide-spread MM of T9 to the 2/3-mono-tiered MM of TX is a MUCH bigger step than it seems.

When you play a Jagdtiger and get wrecked by a Jp E100 it is easy to imagine getting that Jp E100 and blasting Jagdtigers away yourself, but the reality is: You won't face Jagdtigers most of the time. You will face TX tanks peppering your superstructure with HEAT until you regret every single credit you spent^^' And after that you will look at your repair+ammo bill and will regret it even more.

Hard to say. I learned to play game in 2013 when hellcat was overpowered and I also played Chaffee a lot back then. But at first I really played sniper TDs such as M8A1 and I never knew what exactly is a role of mediums. But from sniping I realized that I have to move with TD to support my team efficiently and not wait for them to die and then farm useless damage. I could use Hellcat or T40 with 400m view range as a scout and stay hulldown as tiny target and i worked on minimizing exposition. Then I learned that T20 was (and still is) a great scout with high pen golds and as a player with maybe 4k games in 5 months I already had 60% winrate on Hellcat, T40, M8A1 and 55% on T20. But I never learned how to play heavies, they are not flexible, they can't push into open area. Somehow every class work up to tier 8 and I even managed to two mark IS3, much later T32 and 110 but mostly as requirements dropped and I took them after many years. I feel I'm decent with tier 9 mediums. Not much else. On tier 10, I feel that only Manticore somewhat works for me. Problem with tier 10 is that people can almost predict your mistakes and all tanks are deadly. DPM does not matter, TDs and heavies with 750 alpha, autoloaders, fv4005 can kill you in no time. I two marked M46 Patton and I can't get one mark on M48 (although I got one mark on some tanks and once even reached 77% moe on amx13105)

In my opinion, the point for a new player is to have a pleasant experience grinding a line, not just thinking and considering only the tier 10 tank. I believe light tanks and artilleries should not be the first choice, since the first requires a fair experience and understanding of game mechanics + its unforgiving,while the latter wont improve your learning curve as fast as you wished, since it has different playstyle than other tanks. Tanks with good armor and good penetration with base values are more ideal for a newer player. Or tanks that can support from a distance. After introducing some friends into the game over a decade i believe heavies and tank destroyers is what you should look for. tank destroyers are also ideal for f2p players since you can get away without using premium ammo most of the time.

British Heavy Tanks. Awesome line. Super Conqueror, Conqueror and Caernarvon are all very flexible and solid heavy tanks. Super Conqueror is still very good even after nerfs. At low tiers You have Matilda and you can not go wrong with that. Churchill I & Black Prince are also quite nice after buffs. The only tank that may be problematic is Churchill VII as it is not good tier-by-tier.

im a casual and ive gotten the prog 65 and rino and k91 when i got the 430 u my wins went through the roof the tank fits my aggressive play style way better and the gun is a chef kiss once you get used to it if your struggling to find a good tank for you i recommend this alot i have won and made more xp in the 2 weeks I've had the 430 then i have with any of my other tier tens mind you alot of this is a skill issue on my part but if you want a tank you can learn in the 430 lets you learn much easier

If u want 430 U i cant stress it enough, run tier 3 exp hardening or CONFIG. Every time i meet one with my Jageroo i just autoaim their flat hull with no troll shape (like E5) with my HEAT loaded (why not) and its always an ammorack. Like last 2 times i met 430U it was just an autoaim into the hull ammorack. This thing blows up and heats shred it.

I like the E50, pretty much the german equivalent for the 430, but good god starting from tier 6 it's a pain to grind that line, zero armor! Is the 4300 line any better in regards to armor? Any occasional turret bounces?

I went for the FV215b first back in 2014 (albeit mainly because I wanted the Conqueror) and then the Leopard 1 (back when your only choices were the VK 3002-Indien and pre-buff PTA or Aufkl.pz). Not the most noob friendly tactic especially because that was the pre-buff Leo 1 as well. It's only later I realised that the Indien-Panzer is quite a fun tank and the lights were an absolute delight back when the Ru 251 was a tier 8. But that was after 3 years and 20k battles of experience. Even though you pick up the Cromwell, the Centurion AX line wasn't brilliant either aaaand that was my third tier 10. You can see where this is going 😅 That being said my 4th tier 10 was the JPE100 and even though the Ferdinand is not as brilliant as it was back then, that is a pretty good line to start off with if you want to experience casemate TDs. Although nowadays the Ho-Ri line takes that cake.

I don't have ideal medium on tier 10. Udes can either work or burns or gets rushed. Leopard can be decent, but sometimes you need armor and respect to win. STB feels somewhat average. Obj140 has low alpha. E50M is weird, sometimes it works, sometimes it feels always spotted, impossible to hide cause it's huge and because my first 15 games were trash, I never played it regularly, despite I enjoyed E50. For me, tier 9 mediums work better in general, except of leopard pta and type 61 ... and centurion i guess. On the other hand, I like T55A, Kpz50t, M46 Patton, I liked standard b before nerf and for me ideal medium is bourrasque (except it's the best tier 9 light tank) and for some reason I always liked M46 Patton. Not today, gold pen at 500m is the same as on T20 two tiers lower and bouncing flat side of maus or lower plate of defender at distance is not fun. Back in 2013 to maybe 2018 it had highest DPM, best accuracy on the move, today it's among slowest mediums.

Still one of my favorite tier 10 meds. Very underrated tank, most folks don't realize the 907 is a hybrid of the 140 and 430U. Clans stupidly worry about whats Meta and disregard this tank, which in the hands of a competent player can 1 on 1 any other medium without much difficulty. It's bouncy enough to get caught by a heavy and survive even win. You are right people just don't play this tank enough to know it's value, but I do disagree with you thinking this is OP. It's not OP it's main advantage is people underestimate it due to it being a medium. I run Bounty Hardening, Rammer and Turbo primarily, the hardening helps against those OP autoloaders and the tracking players who never seem to miss the track shots lol. On a bushy map my alternate build is CVS, Optics, Vents though lately I've removed the vents for a Turbo as this tanks real weakness is it's mobility. A mobility suite with a firepower or Survival suite makes this tank very friendly, the 3rd slot can anything map dependent.

Despite QB talks about how you should play midteirs and maybe delay at Teir 9... The title of the video is "what tank to get first" and under _first_tank_ the first Teir10 tank is meant. And that, I think, is a fundamental flaw of our community. The idea that everybody has to play Teir10 and all the tech tree tanks are just a way to the top teir is bad. Ok, maybe it is how Wargaming monetisation model works and what they want the audience to do. But it is not what we should support. All the tiers of the game should be fun to play. And pushing the player who enjoys Teir6 and even won't go further is not good. I would even argue, that Teir4 is more enjoyable. With maps not being so atrociously tight for all that high tier view range and speed. You got less turbo games there. No, considering a Tier10 the only "real one" is really bad.

tier 4 has to deal with the lefh when bottom tier and fcm when top tier (once a million years). And most games you are -1 or -2 (65% of matches) meaning you have to fight tier 6 which are absurdly stronger than tier 4. It would be great to have balanced matchmaking in low tiers, but the game just doesent, so the current situation is that any tier below 6 is awful to play cause of all the sealclubbers and ridiculously op tanks that are in every match. I do think that tier 6 can be pretty fun, but tier 4 is hell

My first choice is no question the TOG 2 , just as soon as you can get it. While yes, it's slow and has no armor to speak of - it's got a decent gun and so many hit points that you can often last long enough to get practice in actually using the gun before getting killed. You're not going to win battles, but it's a very easy tank to use to practice player skills.

The 430u was nerfed because it was so good and powerful. They let it be powerful for quite a while too. QB seems to have forgotten this. When people used it they did some nasty damage. Its armor was great. Very tough. If you were the type of player that just spammed premium shells it just took lots of damage and bounced a lot of shells off its armor. It was a easy tank for anyone to play. Now that its nerfed not as many people play it. Cant go running in YOLO with it like you used to. Its armor was nerfed. Have to be more careful now. Its not a bad medium tank. I'd call it just average now since so much other changes have happened since its introduction. New tanks have come onto the scene as well changing how the game is played.

T-54 tier 9 used to be the real OP powerhouse, that Russian med just hit W all the way around the map lol. ​@@juanzulu1318 Not true, the armor as well was nerfed, now the commanders hatches are easier to pen, about 230-270mm whereas on the old 430u they were still like 330mm. The hatches went from being unpennable to everything that didnt have 340 heat or more, to now being free pens to anyone shooting gold or regular high pen ap, at tier 9 and 10. Thats a pretty big hit to the play style of the tank, you need to be a lot more active in the 430u nowadays. Pre nerf 430u was better especially for playing hull down the gun handling was just a bonus to have, compared to the current 430u which probably gets penned like, 200% more often now in the hatches. Think about how many guns are useless against 330mm, but not against 230-270mm, it opens up a lot more counters than what the 430u had to worry about before, even tier 8s can pen the hatches now.

121b's armour looks good on paper, but it sucks in the game(sidescraping is almost impossible). The dpm is massive, but the lack of depression doesn't let you use it on many maps. And the tank is just slow for a med. It's fun sometimes, but I wouldn't recommend it. Cs 63 is better and allows you to make cool plays. Stb and udes are 1000% better on a ridge. Leo's gun is just beautiful compared to 121b. Centurion is also decent after the last rework. 430U is pretty much a heavy, and 140 is only missing a bit of alpha, but is still better overall

It's so funny to listen QB talking about tier8 get's more often tier6 enemies, than tier10. When I play tier8 with my friend I get a fight against tier6 may be 1-2 times per evening, but have to fight the whole time against tier9 and tier10. Which mm dies QB get??????

my impression about this tank is ENGINE ON FIRE. like 90% of the matches. while the inaccurate gun ruined the other 10% . Chinese 121 is far superior, i even put 2 bond equip on it
