Personally, I don't mind or notice clean vs. dirty comics. Funny is funny. Different people have different personalities/values, but comedy is a uniting, human factor.

Being foul or being 'clean', it doesn't matter. Different people from different walks of life express themselves differently. Whether you are clean or dirty, poor or rich. Comedy should be that deeply human, uniting factor.

@paulj6805
@paulj6805 9 ай бұрын
@@b-radg916idk, I think it depends on the person. What's funny about THIS MAN is his deadpan humored and calm demeanor, expressing clever observations that are, in retrospect, very obvious and true. Another comic may be absolutely HILARIOUS just walking back and forth on stage, yelling "GOD.... DAMN!!!" I think the true mark of success in comedy is understanding yourself, your image, and how you come across. And utilizing that knowledge to enhance your own comedic nature. For some, that's being calm and deadpan, for some that's boisterous cursing. But I don't think this dude's would be funny at all if he paced back and forth shouting curse words. You know?

That time travel bit is something I've thought about since reading A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court as a kid. I've often contemplated how my modern day skills/knowledge would apply if I suddenly found myself in the past. Like Nate, I've come up with nothing. I couldn't invent the lightbulb, or a radio. Nothing. My best chance would be to be in a position to invest in an emerging tech or product (Bitcoin!!), or bet on a sporting event where I know the underdog is going to win big(I always think about when Tyson lost the Buster Douglas)
