www.zsl.org Meet Sapo our male pygmy hippo calf at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo. The hugely cute calf, now three months old, is an important addition to the European Endangered Species Programme and for the conservation of this species worldwide.Included on ZSL's EDGE programme -- a global conservation programme dedicated to threatened animal species which have unique evolutionary history -- pygmy hippos are endangered and in the wild their numbers have dwindled to less than 3,000.

That is the most precious little animal in the world. To me at least, I LOVE hippos. With all of my heart. Nothing that someone could say could EVER bring me away from them. So precious. So cute. So ADORABLE!!! I love hippos, and I always will.

Hippos are soooo cute, especially the baby Pygmy Hippos! lol so fat & wrinkley, yet sooo cute! Actually reminds me of my dog Jaeda, a 11 yr old, black & white American Staffordshire Terrier. Or, in other words, a Pit Bull. I just don't like the stigma attached to the breed.
