A little dot of red locktite will go a long way to keep nuts and bolts tight ,Be careful with ( aluminum ) threads . Put your battery on a tender before the ride !

I've found out by running points that when it comes time to reset the gap, it's also a good idea to check the timing. Any time the gap changes due to wear on the contacts or on the rubbing block, it also will affect the dwell.

Hey brother! Ill sub after watching this! Im a sporty guy, not a chopper but I'm a rider, 14k in Minnesota Wisco last season, that was a fluke season because i took an extra trip to Milwaukee for the 120th with my HOG Chapter. I appreciate the checklist brother!

Hey grease, Love your videos man! I’m still in the dream/ money saving phase of my first chopper build and you’ve provided me with some great insight. I would love to see some more videos on frame building/ hardtail welding. How do you cut the end of your frame tubing so that it’s shaped correctly to meet up with the side of another piece of tubing in a tee shaped weld? A hole saw with a special jig or something? So many questions

Excellent questions I can definitely get a video on that!

What size and length of bolts did you use for your transmission plate

I believe they are all 3/8” by 1” or possibly 1.25” but the front bolts are coarse thread and the rear bolts are fine thread as those thread into the bungs on the hardtail. For that reason I had to keep the fine thread back there but for the bolts in the front I switched to coarse as it’s easier to replace
