I don't think it is. Once bitcoin crosses it's all time high, it becomes the new bottom. Anything under 69k is a good buy. It's still advisable to work with a fiduciary advisor instead of relying solely on speculations. In fact, I had no prior experience or understanding when I began investing in 2020, but by the end of 2023, I had made a profit of almost $1.7m. All I had been doing was going by what my financial advisor had told me. This demonstrates that all you truly need is a professional to assist you; you don't even need to be a great investor or put in a lot of work.

Really, banks require more regulation. The entire idea of banking as "let's gamble" is terrifying. Because they discovered in 2008 that the government will always bail them out, there are no repercussions. These bank crisis are so worrisome. This whole financial crisis and the Great Recession posed the most significant macroeconomic challenges for the United States in a half-century, leaving behind high unemployment and below-target inflation and calling for highly accommodative monetary policies. And this is only the beginning!

Since 2020, the banks have been over-leveraging their assets, which was one of the reasons for SVB's implosion. I have never been okay with keeping much money in the bank. I simply focus on diversified investments through a financial advisor, collect my profits, which I either spend or repeat the process. Never been this comfortable with my finances.

I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million.

Brother you are 100% spot on. During the Great Depression our bank closed. We lost our money. Then we lost our farm. My Dad was born in 1928. Till the day he died in 2018. He hated banks. He kept silver coins. He kept up rolled coins. He kept the house full of food. Dad and Mom grew a garden every year. They canned vegetables. They learned the hard way during the Great Depression.

I never got the chance to ask them, but my grandparents on my moms side kept a half acre garden in their back yard growing until they were literally too old to do so. I'm fairly sure it was what you would call a victory garden because they had lived through both the great depression and world war 2. They knew at any moment the established power structures could fail and it was up to you to fend for yourself. I really wish I had been a more straight and narrow kid and gotten myself some land/real estate when I was young and could still afford to work to do so easily.

I agree with you. all we have is the dollar and cash it better than many things. the people that now control the currency and it value can decide to crash the value over night. I believe one of the reasons we are getting flooded out by massive immigration is they gonna use that to. Got a settlement from an injury and instead of blowing it on a new car, fancy vacation and expensive jewelry I bought several bars of silver, protection equipment, survival gear, 2 years of supplies and fixed my old car and help monthly to those in need. Don't care about all the bling and it won't matter soon, folks this problem isn't going away it's getting ready to get real. Yea that’s because Banks aren’t money lending institutions they are securities transfer institutions. They need us as customers to provide them with financial instruments (endorsements with SSN)and then they trade our securities with the Federal Reserve for FRNs. Cash is just promissory notes; if you have 100 or 1 million it’s all based on credit and promise to pay in the future.

Remember my grandmother talking about her mother directing her to go downtown (Richmond, VA) to the bank and ,” get out all of the money.” The next day the bank failed. Complete pandemonium ensued. Was talking about this with an older friend of mine who was a revolutionary in the Romanian Revolution of 1989 which was followed up by currency crisis and economic collapse. We were talking about gold and silver coins . He made a recommendation I thought to be brilliant . Hoard as many silver dimes , quarters , half dollars and dollars . That was a psyop to make people afraid to stand firm. I realized that when there was footage shown of several people carrying two five gallon containers of diesel fuel to the stranded truckers. The folks carrying the containers were holding empty fuel vessels. The containers full of fuel weigh 42 pounds each. The story was that the people carried the containers for several blocks and when they were shown, they showed zero signs of fatigue. There were even 60 year old women shown carrying those containers. That would be roughly 85 pounds carried for several blocks. Not buying it what they're selling. Stay alert and stand strong.

The cash, however, is worthless. Sadly, it's not even backed by the good faith of the government via gold bonds like U.S. Notes used to be, more or less the legal equivalence of gold (gold certificates), silver (silver certificates), or being ACTUAL gold and silver like money was prior to FDR's tyrannical removal of gold from the money system in '33 (enforced the day before he hiked the price from $20 to $35 an ounce), and like pocket change prior to 1965, when the cost of silver in the market got too high (instead of reducing silver content, like they did for half dollars 'til 71). The rate of inflation since we got off gold in practice was gigantic compared to the 160 years prior, and the rate of inflation since removing the red-stamped U.S. notes that at least were based on a deposit of gold after Nixon "temporarily" removed us from the gold standard in the early 70's has been unspeakable and unforgiveable. We're at the point where retirement investment firms run everything by threatening removal of their tremendous amount of investment money from other companies for not aligning with Left-wing political thinking, and where the price of inflation has now escaped the average annual rate of cost-of-living raises. The only thing I'm thankful for about watching this whole monster is that it won't survive the consequences of the ideology it enforces by the economic terror it created: birth rates in the West fell so dramatically since COVID that we can't possibly have enough women to bear enough children to replace everyone alive in 18 years no matter how many people with more fertile ideologies they let cross the border. Drained my bank accounts over two years ago. Pay goes in and is immediately withdrawn. Only keep enough in the bank to pay online bills. Several times the teller had questioned us why we’re withdrawing and what are we planning to do with the money. I tried to withdraw $15k from Wells Fargo about a year ago and you’re exactly right. Now I threw an absolute fit and threatened to leave their bank. I had to wait about three hours and then go to a different branch to pick it up. They were having it moved from multiple locations just to come up with it. I ultimately left them anyway when they turned on the American values.

I agree 100%..however as a 67 year old retiree who gets a Social Security check which is direct deposit it’s hard to get around that. But we do keep abt $10,000 on hand in a safe protected place and we do have a couple thousand in silver on hand in small coins. However they are going to a digital currency soon and that means your cash if in the hand or buried in the ground will have to be turned into digital dollars in the bank or become worthless because nobody will sell or buy with paper money. It is scripture being fulfilled and we can’t stop it. My suggestion is make sure you have a lot of food, water and supplies to survive on for at least a couple years and if you can have a way to produce a lot of your own food and water. Silver may come in handy to barter for awhile as metals are used in many things and as the dollar goes down they go up. God Bless. We are going to have to depend on the LORD eventually and I don’t think that is a bad thing.

We’re far from the Great Depression times, NOT a good comparison. Things are MUCH different now. The $ is soon to be removed as global currency (as it used to be,) like it or not. That being said, it IS still better to keep your money away from the banks, no disagreement there. And as far as cash “can’t be seized” … idk what world he lives in. Try traveling with your hard earned money (large sum) and get pulled over for something that has nothing to do with the money you’re in possession of. You can completely forget about it if you’re detained for something illegal at the time. It has been and WILL be seized, and NEVER returned. a posthole bank is still one of the best ideas ever..put cash gold, silver, jewels , ect... in mason jars.. pull up one of your large fence posts and dig the hole a bit deeper.. put your jar down there, and put a small steel plate over the hole the jar is in,, then put some dirt, thewn your fence post back in place over the hole, and screw it back to the fence..., NOBODY will think of tearing up a fence line to look for your loot.,, they did this during the civil war to hide silver and gold coins when the union troops came thru, burning and looting the confederacy.. every now and then metal detectorist who know where to look find caches of old silver and gold coins in these forgotten post hole banks on old abandoned homesteads.. almost everybody has a fence somewhere on thier property.. you can basically remove 4 screws, and have access to your bank,, if someones sees you , they will just think you are repairing your fence.. try to work at night though if you can,, mason jars come in many sizes, and different size mouths,., you can fit a small jar inside a larger jar for added protection, you can also double up the lids .. for longer protection from rusting..
