It’s not only the compliance with the endless regulations, it’s the realization that every compliance with the regulation requires a tax to implement it. For the privilege of earning a living, we pay a tax on that income to the Federal and State governments (not all, but most). For the necessity of buying the items we need for everyday life, we pay a “sales” tax. For owning property, we pay a property tax. There are hundreds of taxes and fees that we are nickled and dimed with every day. And what do those taxes and fees go for? The salaries and gold-plated benefits of the people hired to enforce and collect the taxes and fees.

Our freedom was lost little by little over the course of time. I’ve been thinking about this myself for many years. We were taught by the people in our lives to comply. Nobody ever questioned it and now we are paying the high price. When will we do something about it? How can we do something about it? Those are the questions that I have no answer for right now. I just hope no one or group ever tries to enforce their dominance on me or my family. We have also been groomed to place more value over being an individual rather than community and that’s not good. Interesting thoughts on compliance, as a CPA by trade I see first hand the level of over taxation we have agreed to in our society. Income tax, sales/use tax, property tax, payroll tax, registration and title fees. The government even wants to tax money that has been saved, think of how they force retired individuals to take money our of retirement to tax it before they die! If you think about it as you go through life a large percentage of our earnings go towards taxes. The compliance question is a good one, comes down to finding the courage to draw a line in the sand vs allowing the goal posts to keep moving.

Imagine how great this country could be if we could get everyone in the same boat to quit paying this government to take our rights away with our own money. It's a dream because people will always be too afraid to not pay their taxes.
@sheilamcclellan8693 Жыл бұрын
This conversation is happening a lot lately with me and my friends. More of us than them. Thing is most of us want to stay within the laws, but you are right. We really want to be left alone and not taxed into bankruptcy to fund a government who hates us. I’m done with taxes. They can come and drag me out of my house in chains. At least all my neighbors will see they will be next if we don’t stand up for ourselves. Again…There are more of us than them. Nuff said

@@sheilamcclellan8693glad there is like minded people out there. Just need to get a certain amount of the population to do the same and change could be enacted. Problem is trying to get that message out without the feds on your door and having people actually doing it when they say they will.

I agree with you. This reminds me of the novel First Blood where the cop was much further on the other side of the line than the one you ran into. As are many of the police we face in our neighborhoods as I have gotten older and further away from a small town. We all want to be John Rambo but our wives and children become the voice of reason to comply.

If you want to shut a lawyer up, or make them stutter and stammer, ask them why it's not a violation of the 4th Amendment and 5th Amendments to be required to produce evidence against yourself like a DL, Registration and Insurance Proof, without warrant, pursuant to a traffic stop; or, why you don't get a jury trial when being prosecuted, admittedly by the court, for a "crime" in a Municipal Traffic Court (See 6th Amendment).

Here in Boycott the corrupt hell hole of Michigan, I had asked the Nazi inspired judge for a jury trial than I brought up the US Code for Conspiracy to Steal rights (Sorry don't have the exact # in front of me) and told him He is now in Violation of Stealing my Rights as would be EVERYONE involved in the Process. He tried to interrupt me when I started reading the exact code. He scolded me by saying "Don't interrupt me" Then I raised my voice & said I did NOT interrupt you. You in Fact interrupted me! What he was trying to do was talk over my voice as it was being recorded/ These swine scum Traitors need to be voted in so Make it your lifes work to force them to Look for a Real Damn job!

Been happening since I been driving over 40 years and that's exactly how they did it . Little by little they also make it sound like it's for our good. Like our thruway system which they said they would only charge us a small fee until the roads were paid for. Then naaa, we'll keep the fees to keep people working. Now it's computers and cameras and if you don't pay the raised prices and if you don't pay the price keeps doubling each month lol.
