Although the exam has been a learning experience for me, but I wish to explore a career in public policy, especially after having been stuck in this UPSC loop for half a decade. @@shashankmishra6589 Actually I was working under senior and there in law practice it's very hard to survive for initial 5-7 years... And I had already invested a hell lot of time in studies and it was really frustrating for me that even after this many of years I was unable to sustain myself alone in Delhi. So decided to pursue some other field and found Mater in Public Policy as an alternative because pursuing MBA out of India requires min. 4-5yrs of experience(and also there are almost no scholarship for the MBA) So as of now I was only having this new area of study i.e. MPP, and currently I am studying on fully funded scholarship at Graduate School of Public Policy at Nazarbayev University. @@shashankmishra6589 @shashankmishra6589 To be frank Shashank I will be honest with you... It depends what you wanna do as a backup plan after UPSC. If you wanna earn just after 3yrs LLB then it will not give you any edge in placements over 5year BALLLB from top NLU's right and secondly, I already mentioned previously that practicing in the court is not a spoon of tea for many like me as it takes hell amount time and patience for sure to made your own clientele base. On the contrary the double degree programme form TISS will surely work as compared to LLB. I had heard that placements are quite good there and in the end money matters for everyone. So now you have both perspective and you can better analyse what suites you in short term. (Note; in the long run LLB will always be beneficial in terms of satisfaction and career growth). I'm preparing for civil services but I've done only BA from sub optimal college with no major recognition that's why I am looking for some backup plans as U in UPSC stands for unpredictable. I am confused between 3 year LLB program by NLSIU and Dual Degree Master's programme of TISS in Public policy and International relations from two different universities in different countries. PP from TISS, Hyderabad and International relations from Macquarie University, Sydney. If you've better insightful opinion then please suggest me. I'll be glad to know. Thank you.
